Horse Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!

This might be a bit of a battle down the home straight between GAGO with top apprentice Zac Lloyd on top and COMMANDO JACK with another top apprentice in Tyler Schiller to ride. Both boys are fighting out the title too so added interest. I suspect at the weights Gago will be heavily tried and with both horses coming off 5th placings at their latest runs in very similar grade to this, it’s a toss of the coin. I like Commando Jack a little more because he will strip fitter than last start. Quinella them.

Tip: COMMANDO JACK

The top weight here in BEAUTY RISING looks perfectly placed. She doesn’t have enormous early speed but in this small field should be able to sit up in about 4th to the bend. She does have finishing power. This will be her 3rd start and will prove considerably easier than last start when 7th in the Gr 2 behind Exploring. This looks and easy kill.

I just have such a soft spot for better graded horses resuming. AZARMIN is that mare here. She hasn’t won for a while but hasn’t been down at this level for some time too. And she gets the benefit of a claim here also. That means she is the highest rated horse in the field and is getting weight off three rivals, and they are her main rivals. Trialled really well recently too. KIBOSH can battle away and run 2nd. Big show.

Tip: AZARMIN

I like this mare CAP DE JOIE. She resumes here after creating a nice record in slightly longer races last campaign. Has been fitted up by a soft trial recently. Bound to sprint well while fresh and market needs to be watched. Is strong and on the improve. Throw in RIVAPORT for the quinella bet.

Tip: CAP DE JOIE

This really is an exciting midweek affair. We have 4 unbeaten gallopers engaged and 8 of them are last start winners. All with potential. But, yep, I’m on one who was beaten last start. It is DASHING. I think from this perfect draw he sits up in 3rd and 4th to the bend and being 2nd up he can sprint hard late. Drops a little in grade here from recent runs too which will suit.

Tip: DASHING
