Horse Racing Tips – Group 1 All Aged Stakes

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at every runner in Saturday’s  Group 1 $1.5m Gr 1 All Ages Stakes with horse racing tips for the first four. Read on to see how he maps – he has included the potential for a damp track in his thoughts. Good luck!

1. ZAAKI (6) 213x13341x

T; Annabel Neasham / J: James McDonald  (59kg)

Champion who just looks so well placed. Likes it damp, is outstanding first up and has won Group races at this trip. Probably drives forward and sits on the outside of Electric Girl early. Topping the rise he will look the winner. Big threat.

2.LOST AND RUNNING (12) 1x10x317x6

T: John O’Shea / J: Tom Marquand (59kg)

Never raced this far but has given the impression for some time now that he will be suited by it. Is second up here after a solid 6th when making ground late to I Wish I Win in the 1200m Gr 1 TJ Smith. Has an outstanding 2nd up record. Keep safe.

3. PRIVATE EYE (3) 82x1217x40

T: Joe Pride / J; Brenton Avdulla (59kg)

SCRATCHED

4. CASCADIAN (10) 341154×521

T: James Cummings/ J: Nash Rawiller (59kg)

Well, won’t this be a big training effort if he were to win. Comes back from a Gr 1 Australian Cup win over 2000m for this. Will be back early but has a storming late finish and should flash home.

5. MAZU (9) 11x5232x53

T: Team Snowden / J: Sam Clipperton (59kg)

All the stars seem to have aligned for this bloke. Looks perfectly placed. Is 3rd up here after a slashing, eye-catching 3rd in the 1200m Gr 1 TJ Smith last start when he carted the field up to Nature Strip. Is on home track and is peaking at exactly the right time. Looks the winner.

6. BANDERSNATCH (8) x3200x3410

T: Team Hawkes / J: Jason Collett (59kg)

Good solid, fit handicapper but this will test.

7. HO O AMAZON (7) 0x20x00x03

T: Yoshito Yahagi /J: Ryusei Sakai (59kg)

Japanese visitor and they tend to be very hard to beat. Saying that, this bloke has average form in his homeland in Gr 1 races. Did place in very fast time last start in a Gr 3 this trip in Japan. Not keen.

8. KOLDING (5) 0032x0000x

T:  Chris Waller /J: Kerrin McEvoy (59kg)

Looks past his best. Resumes here after last in a recent trial. No.

9. ROCH ‘N’ HORSE (1) 0x4221x003

T: Michael Moroney / J: Tim Clark (57kg)

Multiple Gr 1 sprint winner who finished behind a few of these in the recent Gr 1 Newmarket but then at big odds charged home for 3rd in the 1200m Gr 1 William Reid at The Valley. This is harder but she can run on.

10. ELECTRIC GIRL (2) x82524x130

T: Team Hawkes / J: Zac Lloyd (57kg)

Might run a lights out race here. Should lead and if she can be left with something in the tank, does have a strong fight down the straight in her. Is very fit. Has claims.

11. JACQUINOT (4) 6x1159x116

T: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr / J: Chad Schofield (56.5kg)

Ran good time to win the Gr 1 Orr Stakes on protest then got too far back and rattled home for 6th in the Gr 1 Aust Guineas over a mile. Is better suited to this journey and when on he has a devastating finishing burst.

12. GIGA KICK (11) 1x11115x32

T: Clayton Douglas /J: Craig Williams (56.5kg)

Superstar. Is the defending The Everest champ and 2nd up last start ran a terrific race when 2nd in the Gr 1 TJ Smith when looking the winner at the 100m. Beat a good few of these home that day. Super fit now. Big threat.
