Canterbury R 2 – Mdn Hcp (2YO) 1250m
Interesting race because most of these are very lightly raced. Market will be the best guide but I have an inkling this filly BRAVE AGENDA may be one to watch. She is perfectly drawn in 3 and has been given a start this time up already finishing a game 3rd. Should tighten up a lot and did show Saturday class form when last in work. Perhaps DUMEBI who is having 2nd start can run into 2nd. Big show.
Tip: BRAVE AGENDA
Canterbury R3 – BM64 (3YO) 1250m
Fascinating affair. I like the look of BUNKER HUT here because he is coming back in class. He is also 3rd up here and there was money around for him last start when a fading 8th in Queensland Guineas. Looks to settle near the rear here and come home hard late.
Tip: BUNKER HUT
Canterbury R5 – BM72 Hcp (3YO + females) 1550m
This filly CELESTIAL SPIRIT hasn’t won in quite a few starts but does look beautifully placed here. I suspect Tim Clark gets her out and motoring nice and early. She should be in front as they turn and is fit enough to maintain that lead to the wire. Is 4th up here so expect a brilliant showing. AZARMIN at odds can bob for 2nd. Has been backed.
Tip: CELESTIAL SPIRIT
Doomben R6 – Cl 1 Hcp 1200m
Ok, There has been good money overnight for last start odds on failure MINTAKA LAD but I am against him. Instead I think I AM MASON who ran a stunning last 600m to win his maiden on debut last start at this track can do it again. He has the rails draw so will be parked just off the pace and has power late. Quinella them. Bound to be right in the finish.
Tip: I AM MASON
Canterbury R7 – BM72 Hcp 1550m
This bloke FLASHING STEEL is just starting to hit his straps. On face value his form isn’t outstanding but he has talent and he is growing into himself. Last start sat just off speed at Kembla and bolted away with a BM 64. This is harder but he is on the rise.
