It’s getting very late for a run at the Golden Slipper but this unraced juvenile from the Gai and Adrian yard is reported to be elite class. His name is INTRODUCING and he hits the line very hard. Watch markets as they may very well come for him. CAPITAL HEART who disappointed on debut can bounce back here and quinella the event.

Three starts to date and three losses, but there is something about this top weight HOLLYWOOD HERO that really appeals today. The 2kg claim may be it but I think it’s more that he’s really ready and fit and can find a perfect spot here during the run. Ran 2nd this grade last start. EAU DE VIE is improving with racing and is the danger.

Tip: HOLLYWOOD HERO

Many times these slow maturing types turn out to be pretty smart when they hit their straps. And READY AZZ EVA looks like one of them. He’s had 4 starts but only now is starting to show talent. Ran 2nd here this grade last start coming from 5th at the bend over 1200m. Extra 200m helps a great deal this time. Big show.

Tip: READY AZZ EVA

Gai and Adrian had two but have scratched the inform JOURNALISM allowing the race to fall to their last start provincial winner MAJOR BEEL, who, from the wide gate will ease in behind the pace. He has a finishing kick and although this is many lengths harder than his last start 1300m he should eat up the extra ground and dash hard late. Quinella him with IRONBARK ARTIE.

Tip: MAJOR BEEL

This really isn’t an overly strong race so NIPPA’S NIGHTCAP comes into play. Mainly because he has finishing power and there will be a lot of early race here. Plus, he’s 3rd up and was 2nd beaten less than a length in a similar race at the Sunny Coast last start. Looks a nice each way wager.
