Horse Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!

The market says there is a very smart one here. His name is STEP ASIDE who is on debut. He is trained by Chris Waller and will be ridden by James McDonald. The amount of cash being wagered upon him overnight has been nothing short of sensational and that sort of tsunami of cash screams just one thing: get on!

I’ve been waiting a month for this bloke to race. I will be on for a good wager. His name is CHOQUANT and never a better thing was beaten last start when 5th. Fitter now and this long straight will suit a great deal. FRETTA is allegedly very smart and is on debut, but she will need to be.

Warwick Farm R5 – BM72 (5YO+) 1600m

16:40 (local time)

Plenty of speed in this but I do think last start quinella pair DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM and TARAASHOQ will again fight it out only this time the placings reversed. Taraashoq led and was run down late losing narrowly to the Duke last start. He is fitter now and meets the victor 2kg better. Looks to lead and win this time.

I think KOMICHI will run 2nd behind the mare MERE FANCY here. This John McArdle mare is very fit and did run home gamely last start in a tougher race at The Valley when a good 4th beaten less than 2 lengths. Probably settles in about 4th here until the bend then sprints hard. Komichi will box on out wide and that’s my quinella wager.

Interesting race. I do think this lightly raced GUNDY BRIDGE might be Saturday grade. Has raced only 4 times but has won twice and likes to be on speed. Should have to work from here but will be on the lead all the way and should kick away as they turn. Looks strong. COMRADE ROSA is consistent and should run on for 2nd.
