Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!
Pretty open affair here. This filly MY ELOISE did the right thing by us last start when she just powered away to win her maiden very easily. This followed a lovely trial. Should strip even fitter now that she is 2nd up. This is harder but she seems rather progressive. FASHION LEGEND to grab 2nd spot for the quinella.
Tip: MY ELOISE
I do like the look of this little apprentices race. The best of them is Reece Jones, in my opinion, and so I’m on his mount. He rides LADY SUPERSPY who is 2nd up. She was down the course in a stronger race last start but this is m0re suitable and when last in work she was doing things in this grade. Throw in OAKFIELD STORM to run 2nd and we have a ready made quinella.
Tip: LADY SUPERSPY
I like the top weight here. His name is CHOQUANT and he might develop into a pretty fair horse. He is a 4YO with just 2 starts under his belt thus far but they have been sound runs, both times ending up in 2nd spot. Resumes from a spell in this and that is a test as it is 1500m first-up but he’s bred to stay by Shocking and I just like the way he hits thee wire. Watch betting moves as he might be pretty smart.
There is a lot to like about a horse on the improve in these maiden races. And I think OAKFIELD PAPERBARK is that horse here. She’s a nicely bred, lightly raced mare who hit the line hard here last start when grabbing 3rd. That experience will be very helpful in this as will the set weights scale. Rates highest for me from SIDENAY who was also 3rd this grade last start.
Tip: OAKFIELD PAPERBARK
Interesting race. I like HOLLYWOOD PARK who is a last start maiden winner and he should love this trip. But, young Tom Prebble who rides him today is having his first ride in a race. So bet with caution.
