Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!

Pretty open affair here. But I’m on the locally trained filly SILENT RAINDROPS. She’s only raced the once when 3rd in a maiden at Hawkesbury but did get back that day and made ground late. This is 200m longer. She really tried hard on debut and the winner looks city grade, but saying all that she didn’t seem all that happy on the rails making ground. If Sam Clipperton gets her to the outside here, on home track, should should flash home at a nice price.

Tip: SILENT RAINDROPS

SO YOU SEE has been quite well backed overnight but she resumes here with a big weight. As does LIBERATED GIRL but the 4.5kg difference between them should make the difference in this. Both have a bit of class about them and may well develop into stakes mares in time. This long straight will suit both but the lighter weighted horse gets my nod. Quinella them.

Tip: LIBERATED GIRL

A fair few, in fact nearly all of them, are in form with good last start efforts on their respective resumes, but I’m on MILITARY GAMBLER to emerge the victor. He probably goes back from this hard gate but he has experience at this level and he does run on hard. Is third up here, both runs being very solid as preps for this, and he looks the one to beat from SCAT’S SURFER GIRL.

Tip: MILITARY GAMBLER

Got to love a mare in form and I suspect TIDAL IMPACT fits that bill here. Comes down from Wyong for this but comes with two solid placings at her past two runs in slightly tougher races. So is 3rd up here and has drawn perfectly exiting from gate 2. Last run she was taken to the front from the start in a BM 72 race and faded only last little bit for 3rd. Drops in class here. VIENTIANE is weighted well and can run into 2nd.

Tip: TIDAL IMPACT

Torrid little race this one. Not really the best formula to find a winner, last race, the extreme outside barrier in a big field, rising in class, but I still think JAMESONHEART storms home out wide and wins this. Will be 3rd up, and was a good winner in slightly weaker grade when resuming then a fine 2nd last start. BARANOFF can be competitive and the quinella will pay well.

Tip: JAMESONHEART
