Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!

This nicely bred son of Written Tycoon, ORIENTAL TYCOON looks a good thing. Has raced three times to date and been placed three times to date – all in this grade. Is third up here and if ridden off the pace should swamp these. Wouldn’t take runs along the fence last start at Hawkesbury but still managed to grab 3rd. Jay Mac goes on, will get him to the outside and he should simply fly home late and grab the win over HIGH BLUE SEA.

I like the look of GREEN SHADOWS in this. I think he has been a bit of a conundrum for connections in terms of how to ride him and what trip suits best. Here, 2nd up, I think they may have found the formula. He seems to like sitting back a bit but doesn’t seem to like it further than this trip. So I see him sitting back 6th to the bend then angling to the centre of the track and flying home to grab victory from DEEP SNOW who has been heavily backed overnight.

A top weight in town from the bush. Not always a good wager but this mare DEEL STREET just seems in a very rich ripe vein of form at present. She has won 4 of her past 5 starts, all at a mile. Her only defeat came when 3rd over 2000m seemingly just not getting the trip. Has a perfect draw and after the 3kg claim for Anna Roper she just appears well weighted on her best form. Quinella with CHENIN.

A few chances here, well a few chances depending on how the race will be run. But I do like REIGATE above the others. He has been screaming out for this trip and now 4th up, with Blake Shinn on top, he does look a nice bet. Rattled home this level over 1400m last start to finish 2nd. Should swamp these late. RICK’S CAFE is on the improve too for the quinella bet.

Torrid little race this one. BORN A WARRIOR deserves a win having been 2nd at his past 5 outings, while DRAMMATICA steps up in grade here after an easy Eagle Farm maiden win last start. You can mount cases for both in this so quinella play for sure but I do like a progressive mare and so the Tony Gollan-trained Drammatica gets the nod.
