Gawler R1 Mdn Plate 1500m
I like TURN TABLE in this. He is bred to love this journey and is 3rd up. He has raced 4 times, three of those have been very solid efforts and all three have been at this track. His worst run was last start when stepped up to city level. He was also 2nd up that afternoon. Has everything to suit this time, especially getting out to this journey. Should jump into about 5th sport, one off the fence and being 3rd up as I said, he should be sparkling with fitness. LADY ADELE looms as the major threat. Both should be flying home.

Gawler R2 – Mdn Plate 1200m
I will hold back having a good go at this mare AMBER HAZE but I will back her. The reticence is because she is 2nd up and I think when she steps out over 1400m we will see her shine the brightest. I suspect she gets back a bit here but has run-on talent so will be dashing late. I’m hoping she is close enough to launch a winning assault when they turn for home. Has placed at this level on 5 previous occasions so has the ability and being fresh today will help her sprint a bit better early. All up, that equals each way wager.

Gawler R4 – BM54 Hcp 1100m
Fairly even bunch but I always favour horses coming off good last start efforts and former Sydney galloper TURF TAPPER is that horse here. Mind you, despite chasing a really smart one home last start in this grade when a closing 2nd, he has been set a task here drawing so wide. But, I suspect he can lob into a spot with cover behind them then sprint home hard. Is very fit.
