Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s Warwick Farm meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 7 races. Good luck, punters!
Rail: Out 5m from 1000m to w/p, 3m remainder
Track: Good 4
Warwick Farm R1Â Â 2YO Mdn Plate 1100m Â
This looks like a competitive, 2YO race. None of them has raced yet. CALIFORNIA DEEPLY did look comfortable winning his trial, however. Was on pace all the way and not pushed out either.
HYDE was cantering back in second-last spot on the fence behind runners in his trial. Went to the line with his mouth open and wasn’t far off them. Might be smart.
SHALAILED carried big weight and moved out six wide in straight before finishing it off when 2nd in the trial. Sure to be dashing home late.
Tip: HYDE @ $6
Warwick Farm R2 – Mdn Hcp (3YO+) 1100mÂ
ALLUSIONIST is talented and has been competing in Queensland. Has twice been placed in the city. Resumes here and should be in the finish.
HAMAKI reads interestingly. He has raced twice, with Hughie on then Jay Mac. Now he has Kerrin McEvoy. So his trainers, Team Snowden, must rate him. Plus, he’s still a colt. These things suggest he is pretty handy. Watch market.
LUCKY SUN resumes from a spell here after showing talent when last in work placing twice at this level. Has to be included.
 Tip: HAMAKI @ $7
Warwick Farm R3 – BM72 (3YO + Male) 1600m Â
The fact the in form SOLAR APEX gets a welcome 1.5kg weight relief makes him a terrific show in this. Drawn perfectly too, is very fit and just looks well placed.
The unknown factor is his stablemate OTYRAR. He’s done all his racing in restricted events in England but many of these imports show up. Hughie has been given the mount so they must think highly of him.
TECTONICUS is 3rd up in this and both starts have been useful and showed signs of improvement to come. Watch betting.
Tip: SOLAR APEX @ $2.60
Warwick Farm R4 – BM72 (3YO + Female) Hcp 1600mÂ
BELLE ESPOIR is up in class but she has led all the way to impressively win past two. Is strong, is very fit and loves this journey. Will again run them along.
NIFFLER might be pretty handy. She has raced twice, both times at the provincials and has stormed home to win each one of them. This is harder but Hughie rides and has finishing power.
DYNASTIES has run on for 2nd at both her starts this time up. Has talent and sure to be in the fray here. Can place here.
Tip: NIFFLER @ $2.20
Warwick Farm R5 – BM72 (3YO+) Hcp 2400mÂ
Been a long time since MASTER SHUHOOD has won a race but has run on into 4th at his past couple. Used to race well against better rivals so on home track here must be respected.
In contrast, BLACK QUEEN is in sparkling form winning two of past 4 starts and placing in the others. Looks nicely placed as she can run a strong 2400m.
TERWILLIKER is the natural speed in the race. From this gate should charge to the early lead and if unchallenged can fight on well. Will give your money a good ride.
 Tip: MASTER SHUHOOD @ $9.00
Warwick Farm R6 – BM64 (3&4YO) 1300mÂ
This is harder than last start maiden win but the way REBEL SHADOW fought to the line suggests, here on his home track, he again can run a blinder. Form is very consistent. Rates highly.
CROSSCUBE ran a blinder when resuming this grade last start fin finishing 2nd. Fitter now and may just lead all the way. Watch betting.
GLITTERY has won her past two. Looks back in great style if last start first-up win in slightly easier race is any indication.
Tip: CROSSCUBE @ $7.50
Warwick Farm R7 – BM72 (3YO+) Hcp 1000mÂ
OSAMU should run well. Last campaign just ran so honestly in every race and won two of them. This isn’t overly hard and no surprise to see another forward showing.
Similarly, PICK THE SCORE is a very honest speedster. Is also very fit. Suited this trip and looks hard to hold out.
QUATENUS is a well-bred daughter of Exceed And Excel and she has won her past two starts both at this trip. Gets back and charges home. Looks well placed in this.
