Warren R1 Mdn (Open) Plate 1000m Â
On what I saw in his barrier trial, you’re going to like the way this appropriately named newcomer LOCKDOWN GAMBLE runs. He’s a big, speedy type who toyed with his opposition in winning  a trial recently. He is trained at Mudgee by David Smith and from this gate I see him jumping and running. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t lead them and lead them all the way. He has also been rather impressively crunched online overnight firming in from $2.65 to $2.10. Also starting for the first time, SIZZLING STAR may battle on for 2nd.

Warren R4 – BM58 Hcp 1400mÂ
All races out in the golden west at Warren today are chock full of hopes and this is no different. The heavy track is also playing with our minds. So my best theory is to find horses who will be on pace, out of bother, avoiding the throw back and who have wet track form. MUSIC MISS is that type of horse in this race. She is very fit and is ready to win. Was a solid 2nd in this grade on a Heavy 10 two starts back before running perhaps her best race in a much stronger BM 58 Final at Dubbo last start when 4th. This is easier, she is 5th up and looks beautifully placed.

Warren R6 – BM66 Hcp 1000m Â
Interesting race. This does look ripe for the picking in regards to the Scone mare FOX SPIRIT. She is fast and is drawn to showcase that speed today without being used up. She is 3rd up after two handy runs, one in particular when winning a BM 66 race and she has the boom bush rider Reece Jones steering her around the paddock. She does look nicely placed.
