The outside draw here for DIVINE CRESCENT is no barrier at all because he just has no early speed whatsoever so will drop in behind them all. I suspect as they all fan looking for runs in the straight that a gap will appear for him and just watch him surge late. This is his 2nd race start. At this track on debut he was 4th coming from last. He just didn’t look like he knew what he was doing but ran on anyway. That experience will be of great benefit to him. My only concern is that this race is 100m shorter, but that probably means the leaders will go a tad faster earlier and therefor fold late. JUST ACE can plug on for 2nd.
Here’s a fascinating race. Loads and loads of money came in overnight for all the corporates on this unraced filly SHADES OF ROSE and with justification. She has won two trials in a row looking solid. But I love race experience more so I’m wagering away from her. I’m on WILLIAMS BAY here. Probably goes forward from this awkward draw and if she gets one off or with a back to follow, I think she will prove a tad to tough down the running. For sure I will not ignore the money so will quinella the pair up. I’m looking forward to this event.

The fact that ZACHARIAH was well supported last start when resuming from a spell in the city means there is stable confidence about him. He drops a long way in class here from that plugging 6th and is fitter now. Looks to settle in off the speed in about 5th then come home too hard for mine.
