Apprentices only race. I like the consistent, but annoyingly, non-winner GREENHEART. He’s has 12 starts to date placed in a heap of them including at past three in this very grade, but only has a solo maiden win to his credit. Is better than that and off this gate should settle in the perfect spot just off the pace. Is 4th up this time around so is super sharp. Two of his past three placings have been at provincial level which is normally a little stronger than this. Chris Williams has the mount and he is riding really well of late too. Good money for CROSS STEP who firmed from $9 to $5.20 overnight. Quinella them up.

Tip: GREENHEART @ $5.00

Good contest coming up. Both STILL IN FASHION and IRRESISTIBLE MISS have talent, and potential. Both are in fine form and this looks a great two-horse war. Both are trained at this track too. Still In Fashion is 3rd up and should be ready to run at his very best. Placed this grade when resuming and then a strong run for 4th. Has the inside gate here so gets the run of the race. The other filly probably leads and will have to fight hard late to hold him out.  Quinella bet too.

A great indicator of talent is money. Last start when resuming in a similar race, INDICATIVE was backed late as if unbeatable and after settling too far back over 1000m, he stormed home to grab 2nd here. That was when he was resuming. Fitter now, is trained here and the scratchings help him as he can settle midfield and charge late.
