There isn’t a great deal of quality in this field but there does seem to be some depth in terms of it being quite competitive. I’m going to back COMPASSIONATE on the basis that I feel she will improve the most from her previous start. Which, in her case was her only start. She’s a 2YO and was holding her own down the running on debut when 4th at Newcastle behind a filly who may well be city bound. Natural improvement must make her about 2 lengths better. NOT FAZED is improving too and should run well. Quinella them.

I like the fact this emerging staying talent COMME BELLA FILLE is in this field. It is a stepping stone to grander riches for sure as she looks like being a very smart stayer. She was bred in New Zealand, did her early racing there and is now with John O’Shea in Sydney. And she looks panels better than these. She is by Complacent, a sire we haven’t heard much of yet but we will as he, like Tavistock, is getting winners who can run all day. I think if you can get $2.15 or better, get on for as much as you can afford.

Wyong R7 – BM64 Hcp 1350m
There is much to like about a racehorse in form and we have a few here, none more so than TIM’S PRINCIPAL. He roared home to win a strong race at Scone, The Country Cup last start and did it so impressively that you just want to be on him again here. He was 3rd up that day and his last 600m was very impressive. On a gradient this is slightly easier. he will need to run down EXPLOSIVE TRUTH who is very honest but I think he is in career best form so will do so. Quinella them.
