Man, this is ambitious. Chris Waller sends SHAMELESS MISS around in this first up. She has never raced at this trip, and she is in the strongest race she has ever been in. On top of that she is resuming with just one very low key slow trial under her belt. Last campaign she narrowly won a 1400m in slow time on a good track then was spelled. Sooo, conclusion is this. Either this is just a hit-out because she can’t win based on those stats, or she has grown a leg while spelling and Waller knows he has something pretty handy here. Hmmm, I’m on the latter.
Here’s a fascinating race. HASALAKE hasn’t started for several months but has always raced well while fresh placing twice. Last campaign, about 10 months back, she chased home and was beaten half a length by Star Cherie who turned up at the ‘Farm yesterday and was too strong in town. So based on that, plus the fact she has placed 5 from 5 at this level would suggest she has a terrific chance today. BEHOLDER can bounce home into 2nd for the quinella bet.

I must say I love the look of TWITCH in this. I think she is a cut above these. Last start she was tried in a different racing pattern when sent forward early. Previously she raced very well in better grade when ridden off the speed, hitting the line hard etc. Well, last start in town, she led from barrier but not box. Was caught with 100m to go and faded to run 7th. Drops in grade and trip here and should be ridden back so expect her to win by charging home.
