If we can get evens NICKELBACK we should get on because he looks thrown in here. Big weight to deal with yes, but he just looks several lengths better than these. Willy Pike has the ride and he comes off a great 2nd this grade when resuming. Drawn perfectly, and should sit in 2nd or 3rd spot to the bend. Then explodes away. Has raced three times to date and been placed, both times at this provincial level. LAOS FORTUNE can bob for 2nd. The quinella probably pays $2.80 so worth a go at also.

Pinning our faith here on the healing powers of trainers and vets. This bloke QUATUM is first up after a series of really poor runs. He has raced just the 8 times and won a maiden. nothing of note in the interim. However, he has a lot of ability and his two trials this time up certainly support that. Best then to just completely overlook his racing form over the last year. If he runs pain-free he is smart enough to win and the money overnight says he just might be ready to do that.
Tip: QUATUM
The form horse here is PORTNOY and this just looks like an easy kill for this So You think 3YO. He has raced 5 times and placed in 4 of them, latest over 1500m at provincial level when on speed and 2nd at Hawkesbury. Team Freedman, the Richard and Will combo combine here with this bloke. Never raced at this trip yet but is bred to be a star at it. Is very fit, Hughie rides and just looks a great bet.
