I’m a fan of this 4YO ALASKAN AURA. I think he is as honest as the day is long and will get back, but don’t worry. He has finishing power. It will be interesting to see how last start winner FOX SPIRIT goes from the outside draw with a 3kg kid on top. Probably is in front of Alaskan Aura as they turn but will have used gas to be there. Hence, I’m on the finisher!

Coonamble R7 – Coonamble Cannonball 1100m
I want so such to tip A MAGIC ZARIZ because he is a fan fav of many, many punters but I truly can’t see him giving horses like MR KYLIN 10kg head start in a race this short. I know Mr Kylin is in and out but he can run at this level when he has no weight on his back like today. Last start he was a close up 4th with 59.5kg in a strong Goulburn BM 66. So he’s fit, and in a bit of form. He also won’t know himself with this weight. Does boast good wet weather form too.

Coonamble R8 – Bm58 Hcp 1600m
Fairly even bunch but you always have to add something on to the chances of an inform Rod Northam trained galloper. And we have one here. FANMALIA has drawn perfectly in 4 but will jump from 3 with a scratching. That means he lobs into about 5th spot with cover and coasts around behind them until it is time to make a Ove. Being a last start BM 58 winner on soft ground like he gets here today, over this trip, he should make a move at them. Lots to like about him. He goes up just 1.5kg for his last start win.
