This Queensland mare GEORGIE’S PRIDE is very honest and consistent and has drawn perfectly. She is 3rd up here after two slashing runs up north when placing both times. Has enormous pace and will lead these for some time. Big show.
This Godolphin mare KATALIN is pretty promising and she is particularly good while fresh. Resumes here. Stormed home to easily win a BM 72 last campaign when resuming and recently trial win was outstanding. Â Big show.
SELBUROSE is very well bred and just starting to come into her own pedigree. Last start won this grade with 56.5kg by leading all the way. Very fit and ready to repeat.
Tip: KATALIN
This MIGHTYBEEL looks top shelf. May well be a stakes horse judging by his last two wins where he just accelerated like a star to race away. Hardest test here but the pace will be on with MARGIE BEE running them along and he will just explode late again.
Margie Bee is very fit and if left alone if front can box on for a place show while SOLAR APEX is smart and will appreciate the pace too. Â Big show.
Tip: MIGHTYBEEL
ICE IN VANCOUVER hasn’t done much of note past few runs, but with the 3kg claim and off this draw, all that will change. Respect him.
CASINO KID looks the main play though. Ran an absolute blinder last start when red light over his head running 6th this grade. Big danger.
BLOW DART is smart. Lightly raced and is 3rd up here but did run a bottler this grade last start when eye-catching 3rd. Respect all that. Chance.
Tip: CASINO KID
This looks a strong race, and I love that apprentices can claim. DIFFERENT STROKES has won 3 of his last 4 starts and is improving with racing. Comes into this in peak form, has Hughie to steer and drawn the fence. Looks the one to beat.
REBEL RAMA has drawn alongside of him and is also a last start winner. This is harder but winning form is always the best form going into a big race. Is going to be in this fight for some time.
DUFRESNE will drive forward and be in this for some time. Is very fit and has that huge weight advantage over his rivals. Sure to be strong late.
Tip: 1. DUFRESNE
Tough race. Because he won a race a few weeks back, THINK IT OVER looms very large here but also is in line for a $1million bonus should he win. And he has the form and talent. Has won 3 of his last 4 this grade and yes he has a big weight but he has the wheels too.
SHARED AMBITION must be considered. On his home track, is super fit and has been racing alongside Think It over Over on level weights in recent weeks. Gets a 4.5kg turnaround this time. Big show.
SKY LAB is smart enough this grade and has a good draw and nice weight. Will be there-about at the end.
Tip: 1. THINK IT OVER
EDUARDO looks perfectly placed. He may well drive to the front and then put the brakes on. He is so fast and so fit he has the ability from this draw to do just just.Ran a terrific 3rd in The Everest when closing it off to Nature Strip. Looks the testing material.
No-one missed the finishing burst of MASKED CRUSADER inThe Everest. He charged home from a mile back through the pack and ran 2nd, hitting the line two to everyone else’s one. Should absolutely lap this journey up.
GYTRASH has never run at his best 2nd up and naturally didn’t do much in The Everest when 7th. Will be a different horse this time around.
Tip: 1. EDUARDO
He has drawn poorly but PRIVATE EYE will go back anyway and then get to the outside. He should be flashing down the outside like he did to claim a strong G1 Epsom last start over a mile. Epsom winners do very well in this race. He looms large.
This guy I’M THUNDERSTRUCK is up from Melbourne and also comes here with a Gr 1 hip win as his latest offering when he took out the Toorak. He should be closer in the running than Private Eye but also has a powerful kick. Is ready. Watch the betting.
EXOBOOM will be big odds but the way he grabbed the Norton Bit (applied for the first time last week) was impressive and he hit the line very hard to win. This is harder but he is fitter. Big, big danger.
MEDIA AWARD was a fair 8th last start in a weaker race. But she is fitter now, at a trip she likes more and did win 2nd up last campaign. Expect a good run.

What a good contest. STAR BOY has talent at this level and gets a helping hand with a 2kg relief. Is also 3rd up after runs in much stronger grade. Can show up. Â Respect.
DELEXO broke the Kensington 1000m track record last start with a speed display that was awesome. This is 100m further and in tougher grade but he can lead them all the way again. This is harder but keeps improving.
IN THE LEAD has been knocking on the door of late and has claims to place in this.
Tip: 1. DELEXO
Only 6 runners left after scratchings. EASSY CAMPESE is a tough, reliable horse at this level. Resumes here and will be on speed all the ay. Should appreciate this on many levels and expect him to be tough late.
MA AND PA may be the reason so many scratched. He is a bold impossible top pass front-runner who has claimed his past three races. Trained here and expect him to lead and win again. Watch betting.
PIPPALI won an easier race two starts back looking strong but was disappointing last time. Can improve into a place here. Respect.

Even with half the field scratched this is a lottery. VENTURA OCEAN should have won a similar race last start when a solid 4th and has drawn perfectly so rates highly.
What does Nash do on Zoushack here? Drawn badly but the horse is fit and in form. If he can slot in he is a player late.
PROMOTIONS is up in class but won handsomely last start and is a Godolphin horse in the last race – which is always significant.
