Horse Racing Tips – Rosehill | Sat 24th July

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 6

Rail Position: +8m from the 1400m to the w/p, 5m remainder

It didn’t take KING OF SPARTA long to show his true talent when resuming in this grade last start. The big boy stormed home and presumably strips even fitter here. Have in your numbers. Strong claims as the scratchings help.

This Godolphin filly PICARONES may well be one of the very best fillies her age in the land. Looked outstanding winning trial recently. Strangely has blown in betting overnight. Respect her a great deal anyway.  Big show.

SILENT IMPACT looks ready for this. Opened his account with a stunning all-the-way win at Goulburn. Easy kill as it turns out and may well be up to this. Is on the improve and could be a big danger.

Tip: PICARONES

BOLD AND WILD is probably well suited by the Plate conditions of this race. Did run a bold 3rd last start in a BM 72 when sent forward. Probably try the same tactic here. Expect improvement. Big show.

TAGS is so honest. Just keeps putting in every start and seems to handle the wet and this grade. Watch the market.

Again the Plate conditions should suit ZOO STATION. She rattled home from well back to claim a Cl 2 Highway before running a creditable 6th at this level. Is 3rd up now. big show.

 

Tip: BOLD AND WILD

GO TROPPO looks nicely placed and last start suggested this will be a good day for his backers. That run will improve him even though he’s been up a while and he rates a big show here as he strives for three in a row.

BAZOOKA has run himself into form placing at this level at his past two starts. Is on home track and likes it damp.

YIYI won handsomely when resuming. This is harder than that Newcastle race which he won by nearly 4 lengths, but has drawn well, may be back even better and Jay Mac to ride. Respect all that. Chance.

Tip: GO TROPPO

This toppie TRUMBULL is pretty handy when resuming and he is first up here. Has won 4 and placed in 2 from 7 starts while resuming. Big weight here but also has good wet track form and did win a trial recently so appears ready.

MAN OF PEACE is a good sprinter too also resuming. He loves it wet, likes to lead,  and is going to be in this fight for some time.

This may be a tad short for ALL TIME LEGEND but the horse has a lot in favour. Firstly, he is very good. He’s won 5 from 9 starts and placed twice. Secondly, his wet form is irresistible and those two facts alone, plus he’s won twice from 3 starts while fresh make him very hard to beat.

Tip: 1. ALL TIME LEGEND

Tough race. What a great overseas buy HARPO MARX has turned out to be . Such tough, strong and more importantly consistent. Just puts in every start. Looked in trouble at the 200m last start in similar but shorter race yet gathered himself up and stormed home late to win over 2000m in the mud. Goes even better as the track dries.

NO COMPROMISE is racing in great heart also. Is very fit and on home track here. Strung together a pair of wins before good 2nd n similar grade.  Big show.

POULTON LE SANDS gets back and runs on. Is fully wound up now and stormed home for a strong 4th this company last start. You’d imagine he strips fitter this afternoon now 5th up..

Tip: 1. HARPO MARX

MADDI ROCKS has had a change of trainer and resumes here. Always ran well prior winning 4 and placing 5 times and her recent form was solid at this level. Two trials should have her ready to run boldly.

This may be a tad short for DAME KIRI but she is a run on horse and does have good form when the track is soft and improving. Was 4th when resuming and has won 2nd up in the past.  If she runs up to her best he is in this finish.

STARLA is also a consistent animal. Not won this time up yet but has been unlucky in all 3 runs. Super fit now, is on home track and Hughie rides. Will hit the wire hard.

Tip: 1. STARLA

CHIEF IRONSIDE is the best horse in this field. But he’s getting on, and he runs good and bad races. If he isn’t turned on he can finish well back. Fitted by 2 good trials and because he has talent, must be in your numbers. He looms large.

ORDER AGAIN is very consistent and is up to this class nowadays. All three tuns this time up have been solid suggesting better things are coming. All of those 3 runs resulted in placings. Is ready. Watch the betting.

This French galloper ZIEGFELD ticks a few boxes. He has early speed and his one start in this grade when resuming was a good 4th at stakes level. Should strip fitter here. Big, big danger.

 

Tip:  1. ZIEGFELD

What a good contest even though there are 6 scratchings. ASHIM may be the best placed runner all day. Is 3rd up here, after a pair of very solid efforts on Heavy tracks which he doesn’t like. Is at his fittest now and the track will suit a great deal.  Respect.

Very hard to look past the form of the lightly raced FANTASTIC BABY. Especially his last start when, after sitting on pace at BM 68 level he ground out a tough win. This is harder but keeps improving.

Be wary of WAR CABINET. Is up in grade but has won 2 of past 3 and won them both clearly by hitting the line hard.

Tip: 1. ASHIM

Talk about honest gallopers, we have one here in LANCASTER BOMBER. He is is 3rd up and both his runs this time in have resulted in placings. Both on very wet tracks, which is not his preferred surface. Gets a 2kg allowance and looks the winner. Should appreciate this on many levels and expect him to be tough late.

RULE THE WORLD is an interesting player here. He’s gone from Tulloch Lodge to Mudgee to be trained now and is resuming. Has enough ability of his day to win this. Won a bush trial easily recently. Watch betting.

TYCOONIST is on home track and is in great form. Keeps improving which is the type of horse you want. Good win in slightly easier race last start but did it the tough way. Respect.

 

Tip: LANCASTER BOMBER

I suspect the former European boy, BLUE SOLDIER is worth watching. He’s in the same yard as the brilliant Zaaki and this bloke also comes here having had a few Gr 1 races. This is his first Aussie start and is actually weighted very well for a horse of his former talent. Watch betting moves. Drawn deep which may help.

Good old FROSTY ROCKS will ensure they get along here. raced well in a recent trial and looks ready to run a race. Big show. Watch the betting.

VENTURA OCEAN has had two starts in Australia and won them both in Qld. This is harder but is on the rise and goes well fresh. Resumes here. Big, big danger.
