Horse Racing tips – Rosehill – Sat 21st May

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Saturday’s Rosehill meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Heavy 8

Rail Position: True entire

Terrible draw for the top weight here SHALAILED  but he does look the class in the race on exposed form to date. is very genuine and and strong. Will get back but watch him dash home.

O’TYCOON comes here well boomed after three easy trial wins. Watch betting. Seems pretty smart.

NORTHERN BEACHES looks talented but maybe will appreciate it a bit further. Is a long striding type who gets home hard. Will have to go back from this gate.

Tip: SHALAILED

PURE FUEGO comes here with a 1.5kg claim and having spelled after two enormously poor runs. Has trialled ok recently. May pay to watch market as he is very smart at this level when on song.

HARDWARE LANE has continued to improve every run and his runaway win on a heavy track last start at this level says he should again prove very hard to beat.

BOOM BOOM BASIL is fast, is in form and now is super fit. Probably leads and no surprise to see him lead all the way.

 

Tip: BOOM BOOM BASIL

This looks a strong race, and a fascinating race. FRENCH BONNET is a little hit and miss but when on, can just run away from these. Did that 2 starts back at this level.

RANGI TOA looks pretty sharp and debut Aussie run after three top runs in NZ, was solid, carrying 61kg and comfortably winning at BM 68 level. Looks smart.

ELUSIVE JEWEL is consistent and in form. Runner-up this level past two and has strong claims again.

Tip: RANGI TOA

With the 2kg claim CUBAN ROYALE comes into this really well. Did run a great 3rd this grade two starts back and is expected to run a bold race here.

MEDIA STARGUEST is reliable and honest. Ran 3rd when resuming this level and is fitter now. Has claims.

ANAGAIN is lightly raced but has claims. Not far behind Mazu who then went on to win at Gr 1 level, two starts back and last start when resuming was a game 6th in the Hawkesbury Guineas. Might be too good for these.

 

Tip: 1. ANAGAIN

Promising but lightly raced Newcastle stayer TING TONG looks well placed. Was 3rd slightly tougher race in the mud over a mile then last start was a handy 4th in a tougher grade also. Must be considered.

FIELD LEGEND failed in tougher race last start but previous form was really good placing 3 in a row at this level. Worth forgiving.

SAUCEY HORSEY is lightly raced but knows how to win, winning 3 of 5 starts to date. Up in class here but knows how to win and is racing well.

 

Tip: 1. TING TONG

DREAM RUNNER came home hard along the worse part of the track to run a great 2nd in the Wagga Cup last start at huge odds. Is fit and ready now.

DYNASTIES loves the mud. Grows a leg. After a great 3rd to Espiona, went to Qld and knocked over the smart Gypsy Goddess this trip. Looks thrown in here.

MR GEE is tough and suited this grade. Can hit the line hard and is very fit. Must be in your numbers.

 

Tip: 1. DYNASTIES

ALEAS has settled into the Chris Waller way of training now and he has improved on his British form. Stormed home to take the Wagga Cup last start and may just be on a super trajectory now.

The French galloper HOPEFUL, who was a stakes horse at home, had his debut run in Oz last start in the Hawkesbury Cup over a mile. And he looked terrific charging late to finish 2nd. Better suited this trip and looks to be thriving in Australia.

This is a huge rise in grade for BETHENCOURT but he is absolutely flying and just grows a leg the wetter the track is. Lightweight here so should be on speed all the way.

Tip:  1. HOPEFUL

Such a tough race to work out. I like LADY OF LUXURY because she has finishing power and is very honest. Resumes here but has had two trials and looks placed well after the 3kg claim.

SELBUROSE loomed to win when resuming last start at this level and wilted the final 100m. Probably drops out and if she finds the best part of the track will run home hard.

SUNBORN is smart on her day and off this great draw, following an impressive win when resuming last start, means she has claims here.

Tip: 1. LADY OF LUXURY

Tough race to work out. They may just let SURF DANCER get out and lead these from the gun and if unchallenged he could keep rolling. is tough and doesn’t mind the sting out of the ground.

SOLAR APEX is smart and although up in grade does deserve to be following a really professional win when resuming in midweek company last start. Hughie rides and should rattle home.

QUINTELLO is up in class but form is amazing. Has won 4 of past 6 and placed in the other two runs, latest was an easy BM 78 win over 1400m. This is harder but loves the mud and is racing superbly.

Tip: 1. SURF DANCER

RAINBOW CONNECTION keeps accepting to return to racing and being scratched but off this draw he may well run. And has a lot of talent. Watch betting.

I suspect a lot of money will be wagered upon EL BUENA. He resumes here but was showing good talent when last in work and his trials have been outstanding.

SKY WOLF is up from restricted races in Melbourne where he showed a great deal of speed and fight. May lead these a very merry dance and has won past two.
