Horse Racing Tips – Randwick | Sat 21st August

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN previews Saturday’s Randwick , with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races on the card. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: True entire

The runs for BATTLEGROUND have been spaced and he has had only 9 starts to date and he’s a 5YO. But he does come into this with a recent run under his belt, that being a strong 2nd here over 1000m in a stronger race. If he runs up to that race he wins this.  Keep him safe.

AYTOBE is smart at this level and will loom large at some stage in the straight. Scored a nice win under a big weight at Muswellbrook then came to town and was a solid finishing 6th in a Cl 2 Highway. So is now cherry ripe. Respect all that. Fitter now so is expected to go close.

WITHOUT SHAME is very honest. He should give your money a great run. Only win was a year ago at Mudgee when he finished hard from well back over 1200m. Does give a good few of these a head start but he has learned to rush home.

Tip: BATTLEGROUND

 

SPENCER will roll forward and if not settling in front, will be right there. He is super fit. Did win a BM 78 this trip in the mud a few runs back and was a close up 4th last start. Can atone. Respect.

TERWILLIKER was taken to the front last start in this class and led until near home running a much improved 2nd. Looks to assume the lead again early here and is super fit. So may be in a b battle with Spencer from the get go. Should take a lot of catching as he can stay all day.

MASTER SHUHOOD is now back in form. Finished hard late to grab 2nd, just in front of Spencer last start. He was 4th up that day and was the first bit of form he showed. So assumption is he is now fit and rearing to run on. Big show.

Tip: MASTER SHUHOOD

The 3kg weight allowance is going to be the favour of the good mare MONEGAL. She is 3rd up in this and will settle back. Drawn perfectly to get cover and all the signs are that she will burst home. Just need to find clear air in the straight.  Is honest enough.

Rea; good money came for FOXBOROUGH when resuming last start and she didn’t fire a shot. Down in grade here, is 2nd up with Hughie to tide. Drawn perfectly too. This is easier and is ready to fulfil the stable confidence.

ARCTIC THUNDER is in this all the way. Won a similar race last start and is expected to run boldly again.  Should settle back and has wheels late.

Tip: MONEGAL

 

Chris Waller has four runners in this and they look very likely to go one, two and three. They are  RE EDIT who was a great 4th when resuming and is fitter now. Has class on his day. WAIRERE FALLS has been up while but is very honest and last start win was full of merit this company and try have to be aware of LOVEPLANET. Stable rate him highly. Won over 1400m in easier grade last start in Melbourne then sent here. Is very honest and strong late.  Looms very large.

Tip: RE EDIT

Hughie goes onto last start winner TAMERLANE who looks likely to go on with it despite rise in grade following a really impressive win last start. Drawn to receive the run of the race here.

TURNSTYLE is in career best form. She is very fast and will ping the lids, lead these and her recent runs and fitness make her a tough one to catch.  Big show.

That one from a spell for MORE PROPHETS last start was good enough to suggest she is a show here. plus, is fitter now too and Jay Mac to ride.

Tip: 1. TAMERLANE

FOUR MOVES AHEAD is a star. She was one of the very best fillies last season and she resumes here. Has had two very soft trials but if she brings last season’s form to this, she wins.

MALLORY likewise was a star last campaign. Won at Gr 3 level and placed behind Four Moves Ahead at Gr 2 level before failing in the Gr 1 Golden Slipper. Two trials have been excellent. Respect her. Big danger.

TRIFACCIA is a maiden and she was beaten as an odds on pop in a maiden when resuming last start. Fitter now. If she settles near the rear she can rattle home.

Tip: 1. FOUR MOVES AHEAD

 

What a terrific race. ROCK resumes here  but in this he should settle near the rear and if held up for one shot can flash home. Will be in the finish.

CHAT has come back better than ever. Won first-up then up to this level, rattled home for 2nd. Is fitter now and is going to be in a perfect spot all the way.  Have in your numbers..

PRIVATE EYE is smart and has trialled like a superstar of late. Did win his way through the grades winning 5 of his first 7 starts.  Watch market.

Tip: 1. PRIVATE EYE

 

KOLDING was disappointing last start, there can be no denying that. He was there to win. But, he does do better at WFA and obviously this trip too so expect a much better run.

THINK IT OVER is tough and honest and well and truly now up to this grade. Trip may be a touch short but he is resuming and does go very well first-up. Respect.

CASCADIAN won the Gr 1 Doncaster last prep against a great field which included a few of these. He is also resuming and trialled extremely well. Has been backed.

VERRY ELLEEGANT is a champion and surprisingly boasts a very strong record at this journey. Bound to be fresh and from this gate should get a terrific run. Big danger.

This is about the best rendition of this race… EVER! So much class. If TAILLEUR resumes at her top she wins. Has enormous power and versatility. Can lead or sit out the back. Goes great this track. Has tremendous fresh record and knows how to win.

SEASONS  is honest and also resumes here. But that is not a negative. She too has great first-up stats. Will get back but resuming here on her home track with a winnable weight makes her a player today.  Big chance in this.

VILLAMI was a good third when resuming and thus has a bit of a fitness edge on a good few of these. It was slightly weaker but is in form and is very strong late.

Tip: 1. TAILLEUR

ATISHU is from New Zealand and is a lightweight hope. has won past four and Kiwis coming here must always be respected. Especially those who know how to win.

ACADEMY ran a cracker when resuming under a big weight. Should strip fitter and so honest he has to be considered. Will probably lead for a long way.

BIGBOYROY is 2nd up here after a terrific placing when resuming this grade, and is also extremely honest. Just keeps improving.
