Track Condition: Good 4
Rail Position: Out 4m entire circuit
THE GLOBE is screaming out to win her maiden after a string of placings leading into this. Damien Oliver takes the ride from perfect barrier and she can get away with this.
LORD PARAMOUNT resumes from spell. He was placed on heavy ground on debut before battling in better race before break. Drawn perfectly and must include.
HEARDYOU is a debutant that comes off an impressive Balnarring jumpout win. Looks to have plenty of speed and stable only come to town if they can win.
MESCHEVER is another first starter that showed plenty winning a Flemington jumpout. In what looks even race keep an eye on betting movements.
Tip: THE GLOBE
ENDLESSLY is becoming a bit costly for punters this time in with a string of placings leading into this. Barrier a concern but this best chance to break maiden status.
SAVOINIA was not beaten all that far at Hillside first-up and then forget last start when covered plenty of ground. Third-up and ready to win.
FIRST PLATOON caught the eye with a fast finish at Kyneton last start. May needs some luck around The Valley but will take holding out.
DAYTONA BAY showed enough winning his jumpout at Pakenham to suggest he is above average. Gets nice barrier and expect he will have support.
Tip: ENDLESSLY
SAVING just did not settle well enough here last start and was overran from the corner. Looking for him to relax a little better in this and he can bounce back.
GUNS ABLAZING beat similar field to this here last start after pouncing before the corner. Oliver stays on top and no reason he cannot make it two in a row.
LINDELANI has always shown ability and like the Melbourne Demons may finally be finding her best with a win and placing leading into this. Drawn to get every chance.
Liked the way MILESTONE kept grinding away to get the job done at Moe last start and from inside gate he will take beating.
Tip: SAVING
MARCOLT made up good late ground first-up from spell when ran into second spot at Geelong. Sure to be better from the outing and gets chance to go one better.
RACE AGAINST TIME started short favourite at Morphettville last start and got the job done. Now he has broken maiden status he can go on with it.
ALVERDUN finished the race off hard to win here last start. Looks a progressive gelding and although drawn touch awkwardly can figure again.
BRING THE STARS was dominant at Donald two starts back then chased home valiantly when placed here last start. A must for exotics.
Tip: MARCOLT
PITCHANUN comes into this off a couple of sound placings. Just found one better when favourite here last start and she finds similar race. She can go one better.
ANGEL ROCK was dominant winning at Geelong two starts back then finished in minor placing here last start. She will be in finish again.
SPOONING was making good steady ground at Hillside first-up from spell. She will be better from the outing and can figure in this.
JUST STELLAR raced on the speed and was dominant last 200m in similar race. Drawn to get perfect run and she only needs to hold that form to win again.
Tip: PITCHANUN
KEV’S GIRL just showed too much speed for them here last start and stuck on for brave all the way win. She will lead again and can win.
MIDWEST deserves his chance in town after winning last two on the provincial circuit. Barrier is the concern but he looks up to this.
ESTORIL PARK is screaming out to win this campaign. Chased home strongly to just miss Kev’s Girl here last start and that form good for this.
GULF OF SUEZ resumes from spell. He has won fresh and took on some hot races last time in work. Watch for stable support fresh.
Tip: KEV’S GIRL
MCKEEVER started favourite here last start and was beaten less than a length after chasing hard. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and only needs luck from the corner.
LOGAN STREET LION looked home when he found the front late at Lakeside last start but was claimed final stages. Had a break since and would not leave him out first-up.
ROCK TYCOON finished the race out strongly here last start and just missed in a driving finish. Finds similar and gets chance to go one better.
JOLTIN’ JOE won two starts back then went to Flemington and ran on late into placing. Drawn touch wide but racing well and cannot be left out of winning chances.
Tip: MCKEEVER
Moonee Valley R8 – BM64 Handicap 1200m
ESCADORA is the big query resuming from spell. She was brave winning her maiden at Geelong before break. Expect she will have matured and she can win this fresh.
WEGOBAM comes into this ready to win third-up from spell. Placed in both runs back and although drawn awkwardly looks a major player.
STAR SPIRIT was beaten less than 2 lengths here before break. Drawn to get the perfect run in behind the speed and with luck from the corner she will go close.
APRES LA MER has been racing consistently without winning of late. Not all that far off them here last start and that form good for this.
