Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sunshine Coast poly track meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!
Track Condition: Synthetic
Rail Position: True entire circuit
RED TOP has been racing very consistently, being in the money all three starts. Looks to have his foot right on the till and should be extremely hard to get past today.
BRIGHT TIARA coming off only a fair trial initially, was good at her first start here at Sunny Coast two weeks ago. Will have improved and be one of the main hopes.
BOKUDEN is third-up today and should have learned plenty from previous hit outs. Only beaten 3 & 4 lengths in those runs and should be nice value here.
Tip: RED TOP
YANGARI ran home solidly behind Noble Cat last time out and having drawn to follow the speed, he should be getting to the line nicely late.
CRITICAL THINKER has been racing very consistently and the stable seems to have found another suitable race here.
SAINT MARTIN was placed track and distance three starts back and if reproduces that form will be breaking his maiden status very soon.
RONLEE GAL came with a barnstorming run to win as she liked at the Gold Coast. If she handles the poly track she looks the one to beat again.
CALCAREOUS has been around the mark in his recent runs. Will be in this for a long way, I’m just not quite sure he can hold off the top pick.
HELLO HANDSOME usually gets back in his races although has the perfect draw today and has to be considered a danger, if runs come at the right time.
Tip: RONLEE GAL
APPLE TART drops back from a set weights race at Ipswich last start where she battled away nicely without threatening. Small field, apprentice claim and the drop in class, ticks a few boxes.
STARZAM an impressive first up win at Doomben last time in. Should be all the better this time around and does look to be a serious contender.
KISS GOODBYE won nicely here at her only start in March. Has had 2 recent trials and finished just behind the placings, so could be ready to produce again.
Tip: APPLE TART
ENTERPRISE MIA won as she liked striding clear last start at Doomben and although steps up in grade today, should relish the extra journey.
REGAL EDITION comes off a nice win at Gold Coast sneaking through along the rail. Another performance like that, has to be included in the winning chances.
TICK TOCK BOOM drops in grade but does have the top weight to carry. Is a very consistent performer and no reason why can’t fill a minor again.
Tip: ENTERPRISE MIA
The run of BENGAL BANDIT last time out at Rockhampton was too bad to be true. Happy to forget that run and hope for wetter conditions today. If conditions suit, worth an each way play.
RED LIGHT ROXANNE not wanted in the betting last start at Ipswich but ran home nicely for a close 2nd. Needs to run up to that effort again and if does, in with a good hope.
ALDERMAN is racing very consistently. Races well for the jockey and has only missed a place once in his previous four second-up runs. In the mix at odds.
Tip: BENGAL BANDIT
KHAALIS couldn’t pick up Fast Talking at Doomben last run, missing by a fraction. If can get through the poly, seems to be well weighted and looms as the one to toss.
OSTERMEIER drops back in grade for this after running 4 lengths behind them in the Ipswich Cup. Handles the trip but is weighted accordingly. Definite winning chance.
ROYAL PERFORMANCE finished 4th and 2 lengths behind Khaalis last time they met. Very similar conditions here and look for another bold run.
LOVES YERS ALL was given a peach of a ride last time at Doomben and proved too strong for them. A repeat of that, she has to be included in the winning hopes again.
PLUTOCRAT is first up today after 7 weeks off. Last start back in the field but does drop in grade today and has won early in the prep before.
BRAZEN GEM has raced well in the past on the poly with 2 placings. Looks to be well suited here again and will be in with a good chance.
Tip: LOVES YERS ALL
RELIABLE RUBY tends to get back in her races but is racing oh so consistently only missing a place once at the distance. Look for her to be storming over them at the line.
KUDA does like the distance range and was a winner in higher grade two runs back. Looks suited again although carrying top weight and not seen a poly track.
MY ODDETTE coming off a solid win last start at Beaudesert and has won twice with Wiggins in the saddle previously. An each way chance.
