FESTIVUS was well supported on the synthetic at Ballarat and did not let punters down with a close win. This not a difficult affair and he can measure up to this.
FUZZ BUZZ looks ready to win third up from spell. Placed at Moe fresh then came to Hillside and again ran into a minor spot. This is no harder.
BAGLIONI has been racing in much better races than he finds here. Should get the perfect run in behind the speed and will have last crack at these.
TYCOON BUCKS relished the heavy ground when placed at Lakeside last start. If she can hold that form she will be right in the mix.
Tip: FESTIVUS
SAPPHIRE CROWN has won two of three first-up tries. Relished the heavy to beat Modear at Flemington when fresh last time in work and that form would be good enough for this.
ASHLOR has been racing in better races than he finds here. Just fallen bit short in higher class but gets back in winnable race and he must be respected.
TONY NICCONI chased home steadily when placed at Swan Hill first-up from spell then he should have finished much closer last start at Caulfield when held-up. Third-up and ready to find best.
SIR KALAHAD relished the heavy track to win with something in hand in Adelaide last start. If he brings that form back across the border he will be a major player.
Tip: SAPPHIRE CROWN
Sandown Hillside R3 – BM70 Handicap 2400m
UPSWING finished right next to Raise You Ten at Lakeside last start. They look a touch better than these and he will be right in the mix again.
HEIR TO THE THRONE finished too well to win at Sale two starts back then he made good late ground at The Valley last start. He can sneak into a place in this field.
HEZAFOX may not have handled the heavy as well as expected when well held at Cranbourne. He was in the market that start and this is no harder.
Tip: RAISE YOU TEN
HE’S THE REAL DEEL was not wanted in the market at Lakeside first-up but he made a mockery of his price with a dominant win. Drawn perfectly and he can win again.
FLASH FLOOD is the big watch resuming from a spell. Finished last campaign with an impressive win at The Valley in better company than this. If he is forward enough he will be right in the finish.
REALEZA should have finished closer in better class race at Geelong last start. Drawn to get all the favours and he cannot be left out of place chances.
BRICKTOP comes into this ready third-up from spell. He has not been beaten all that far in two similar races and cannot dismiss.
Tip: HE’S THE REAL DEEL
NIKAU SPUR showed an impressive turn-of-hoof to win here two starts back then just did not finish well enough last start. Looking for him to bounce back in an even race.
MR BRIGHTSIDE has demolished them in his last two starts and he takes another step up here and no reason he cannot make it three in a row.
EAGLES CRAG is a big query first-up from a spell. He looked impressive winning both starts with ease last time in work and expect the import to win better races than this.
AYAHUASCA relished the heavy ground and bolted in at Lakeside last start. Likely to get wet ground again and she will measure up to these.
Tip: NIKAU SPUR
TUVALU deserves a win this prep after two solid placings behind the smart I’m Thunderstruck. He gets his chance to return to winners stall third-up from spell.
TINANDALI started enormous odds here last start after some ordinary form but he improved dramatically and grabbed minor placing. Drawn to get ideal draw and must respect again.
WORSFOLD started this prep with a couple of dominant wins then just missed in blanket finish at Sale. He can measure up in this class.
DIAQUIN showed a nice turn-of-hoof to finish the race off hard to win at Geelong last start. Deserves chance back in town and can sneak into a place.
Tip: TUVALU
ELIDI finds a nice race for her to return to winners stall. Beaten less than 2 lengths in better race at Caulfield first-up from spell and with added fitness she looks well placed.
GABEIRA shared the prize at Geelong first-up from spell then she found heavy ground at Lakeside and just a little one paced. Comes into this third-up from spell and although drawn wide cannot leave out.
Forget AWKWARD went around at Cranbourne first-up when always wide but did keep getting home late. This looks no harder and she will strip much fitter.
PALUMBO was in the market at Lakeside first-up from spell but just did not finish the race off well enough. Strips fitter and expect she will be an improver.
Tip: ELIDI
WRITE ENUFF was strong when placed here two starts back then she just went a little too hard in front last start and did not finish race off. She will lead and if left alone can steal this.
MISS STARWAY placed here two starts back then she just got a fraction too far back at Geelong last start before making late ground. Looks plenty of speed here and she will be one to watch late.
MADAME BOLLI won three in a row before taking on a better race at Caulfield last start and just fading final stages. She will get right run behind the speed and have last crack at these.
ZIAVERA is close to a win this prep. She has been placed in both runs this time in and from ideal barrier she will get her chance at some stage in straight.
