Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sandown Lakeside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Heavy 9

Rail Position: True entire circuit

HERE TO SHOCK looked like he would benefit from first-up run when just out of the placing first-up. Needs some luck from awkward gate but he will go close.

HICKOK won in this class at Ballarat three starts back then has not been disgraced in two better raced since. Drawn ideally and back in a winnable race.

NORDIC resumes from a break. Battled on well at only start last time in work and from inside gate he should get perfect trail into the race.

I have fallen into ACCOUNTABILITY in recent starts and although disappointing they have been in better races than this. Forget last start when never on track. I reckon he is over the odds in this.

GATE CRASH is from the all-conquering Patrick Payne stable and he started this campaign with two impressive wins before being held-up when favourite last start. He can bounce back.

FLOSSING relished the heavy ground with a dominant win at Bendigo first-up. Likely to get similar conditions and will strip fitter for this.

PEPPER’S GHOST has been racing in consistent form in recent starts when not been beaten all that far. Placed here two starts back and if he finds that form would be competitive.

HEIR TO THE THRONE overraced a touch at Flemington last start but thought he stuck on well and was not beaten all that far. If he can settle he can figure in this.

FERAGO deserves his chance in town after moving through his classes with three straight Geelong wins. Cannot knock winning form.

SPECTACLE resumes from spell. She won when fresh last time in work. Has solid first-up record (3:1-1-0) and with advantage of apprentice claim can get away with this.

MINYINGA finished the race off strongly when placed here two starts back then she did not have much luck when wide last start. Needs luck from barrier but can bounce back.

PASSIONE is the big query crossing the Tasman for the first time. Placed in three of her four first-up tries back in New Zealand and this a nice race for her.

MASK UP looks an up and coming gelding. Won fresh then has not been beaten all that far in two runs since. Drawn perfectly and he gets chance to return to winners stall.

TRUE GRIT resumes from a break. Finished his first prep with a couple of close Pakenham wins. Will be better over further but may run a cheeky race fresh.

SO RISQUE is another fresh from a spell. He is unbeaten first-up with two solid wins. Hard to leave him out based on that stat.

TIMSON won his maiden on debut then took on Group 3 company at second start and was not disgraced. Drawn ideally and if forward enough may just be too good for these.

SHOVE OVER has come back in winning form. Won maiden fresh then went to Sale on heavy ground and won again. He can measure up to these.

THE HASS got his maiden out of the way at Sale two starts back then run was better than finishing position suggests at Flemington. He is a must for multiples.

PARISIAN DANCER relished the heavy and got the job done at Ballarat first-up then she had no luck when always wide last start. If she gets a better run she can bounce back.

VITTORIOSA only just missed behind a smart one here two starts back before failing on the heavy last start as favourite. If she gets better surface she can bounce back.

CYCLONE SALLY relished the heavy ground and was dominant on the Hillside last start. That made it two wins from last three starts and she will be in mix again.

Surely COOLTH will not get a better chance than this to finally return to winners stall. Two eye catching runs at Flemington at last couple and he goes on top in this.

THE AWESOME SON resumes from a spell. He has been placed fresh and although will prefer longer he can run a cheeky race in this.

MARCOLT was placed on the heavy two starts back then chased home solidly in a nice race last start. Would include in exotics.
