Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!
Track Condition: Soft 7
Rail Position: Out 6m entire circuit
ONLY HUMAN deserves a maiden win. Chased hard last 200m into minor placing at Lakeside first-up. Strips fitter for this and the step to 1300m ideal. He can win this.
BELLSPROUT battled on well on the heavy ground when placed first-up at Moe. Likely to get similar conditions and from ideal barrier he will be in finish again.
THE PSYCHOLOGIST resumes from a break. He showed best form when getting over further at first prep but he showed ability and can run a cheeky race fresh.
Tip: ONLY HUMAN
WATER BOMBER finally got his maiden out of the way when he demolished a field on the synthetic at Ballarat first-up. He looks to be city class and can win this.
HARMONIUS SENORA started at enormous odds at Geelong on debut but she relished the heavy and finished too well. Craig Williams from inside gate she can win again.
BOOGIE DANCER was ridden up on the speed at Donald last start and that was the winning move breaking maiden status. Has arguably best front running rider in Australia in Linda Meech and she will take catching.
Tip: WATER BOMBER
FERAGO is racing in super form. Won three straight at Geelong before being beaten by barest margin at Lakeside last start. He gets his chance to return to winners stall.
HEREFORAGOODTIME was sent out favourite on the heavy ground at Lakeside last start and he finished too well getting up in last couple of strides. Drawn ideally and can win again.
Liked the way that TOKEN SPIRIT got to the line when stepping up in distance at Pakenham synthetic last start. Extra distance looks ideal and he should get the perfect run.
Tip: FERAGO
PACIFIC RUBY started long odds on and won accordingly on the heavy ground at Moe first-up. Likely to get similar conditions and she can make it two in a row.
PARLAYED won maiden with something in hand at Newcastle first-up then she went to town and was not far off placings. Drawn ideally and not without a chance.
RAVAGED AWARD comes into this ready third-up from a spell. Not beaten all that far at Flemington first-up then was just out of placings last start. She can sneak a place in this.
Tip: PACIFIC RUBY
FREE FLYING STAR made it two wins from three starts this prep when she relished the heavy at Bendigo last start. Likely to get wet conditions again and from inside gate she takes beating.
DERIVE comes into this ready third-up from spell. Liked the way she kept coming when ran into a minor placing at Lakeside last start and she will be better from that outing.
BUBBLY LASS will appreciate the step out to 1400m and has Jamie Kah aboard. She has only battled in last couple but would not be surprised to see her run an improved race.
Tip: FREE FLYING STAR
The two runs of REAL SENSATION have been better than finishing positions suggest this prep. Should have finished closer in better race at Caulfield last start and this a winnable race.
SANTERO started this prep with a couple of placings in city class then forget finishing position last start when raced wide before striking trouble. She can bounce back in this.
LAUNDY was doing best work final stages first-up. Steps out to the 1600m second-up from spell and expect he will be an improver second-up.
Tip: REAL SENSATION
Going to stick with the Waterhouse/Bott trained VITTORIOSA. She fought the race out strongly but just found one better last start. Drawn wide but if she finds the front she will take catching.
PARISIAN DANCER won on the heavy at Ballarat fresh then she has been competitive in two runs since. Competitive in all her races and must respect.
Patrick Payne has been flying and he has MARCOLT in this. Not beaten all that far in recent starts and from inside gate expect he will get ideal run and has chance in this.
Tip: VITTORIOSA
SIG POSITANO showed good pace to lead at Caulfield last start and although found a couple better late held on for brave placing. This touch easier and he gets chance to win this prep.
Liked the way MR TIPLA hit the line when just missed at Lakeside last start. He will give them a start but watch for him to be making good late ground.
NERONE relished the heavy ground and won at Echuca two starts back then came to town and was placed here last start. He only needs to hold that form to be in finish again.
