Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Kensington | Wed 7th July

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s Kensington meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 7 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 7

Rail Position: True

BARRICHELLO is a lightly raced 3Yo having his 4th start here. He is also in form and is by Sebring. That is impossible to look past as the subrings love it wet. Looks the testing material..

His stablemate CAT D’ORO became a professional place getter in this grade at previous preparation. Is very honest and gets home hard and should again here. Big show.

SILLY POINT strips fitter here after a terrific 2nd when resuming last start in this grade. He was on pace and run down late, but significantly Barrichello was behind him. Shorter trip is in his favour. Fitter now and looms large.

Tip: SILLY POINT

Coming off a strong barrier trial win will serve KING OF SPARTA really well. He has raced honestly and competitively against better rivals and has been gelded now. On home track here too.

MILITARY EXPERT is a big bloke with a long and impressive stride. Is yet to race but his trial last start was outstanding with those behind him all being urged along yet he was cantering. Watch betting.  Looks ready to run boldly.

RHINELAND may get back as he did on debut but will make ground late as he did when 3rd at Newcastle. Fitter now. Big danger.

Tip: KING OF SPARTA

STORMY MOUNTAIN is from France and on debut here. She has raced a fair bit on wet tracks so will be used to this. Probably  drops out but has raced at stakes level and expect to run on. Two Aussie trials have been useful will appreciate this. So on that score she has claims.

PROMISE OF SUCCESS looks well up to this and has her foot on the till. Won weaker race when resuming but last start was even better when flying home in strong race to grab 3rd. Small field suits. Watch market.

ROSA MOYESSI has run a couple of bottler races at past two. Backs up here after a strong 2nd this grade last start.  Certain to be thereabouts.

Tip: PROMISE OF SUCCESS

Interesting race. This JUVENTUS is having 10th start this campaign and is still yet to win a race, but to be fair he has been thereabouts and always his races have been in stronger events. Gets a look at a very winnable race today as he drops in grade. Should be sacked if he fails.

YUKON was soundly beaten when resuming in Sydney last start in this grade. Had good Melbourne form in weaker races and can place. Plus is fitter and likes the trip better too.

SALSONIC as always will get back and probably plugs on gamely out wide to grab 3rd. That’s just how he rolls.

Tip: JUVENTUS

HOT SPRING GOLD is rising in grade here but is in form and is also very fit. Was near last on the bend before flashing home out wide to win 1400m at Kembla. If he runs like that again he can be in the finish.

NIKAU should be hard to beat. Won Kembla maiden, then a Cl 1 at Kembla before coming to tow for a very, very similar race to this where she made ground late for 3rd.  Looks the one here. Respect.

SKEDADDLE won on debut very impressively then was spelled. Resumed in a hard race and wilted last little bit for 4th. Is fitter now and this isn’t as strong.

Tip: SKEDDADLE

On his last two efforts RANGES looks very hard to beat. I love horses in form and he is racing out of his skin winning a similar race two runs back. Is also trained here.

TAMERLANE is fascinating as he’s bred to stay but instead he shows speed and has a little trouble hanging on. Led until late when 5th in a BM 72 last start here over 1300m. Shorter trip and fitter make him a player.

MISS JAY FOX is speed and tough and is improving. Drawn poorly but will charge across and make her presence felt all the way.  Suited this trip and runs well enough fresh.

Tip: TAMERLANE

O’MUDGEE has the top jock on, has the great gate and has the form. Is sooo consistent and honest and will be right in the frame here. Watch betting.

JUNGLE BOOK keeps getting back and finding traffic in the run home but he is well suited to this and can dash late when clear. Is very fit. Also, loves it wet. Can improve.

DUNDEE LEE is a strong and honest mare and she has great form at this level. Is 3rd up and won handsomely in weaker grade last start.  Drawn well and looms large.

Good race.

Tip:   JUNGLE BOOK
