Liked the way MORETON BAY chased home solidly when placed at Gold Coast last start. She has drawn ideally and gets chance to break maiden status.
DOCTOR TEEKAY resumes from spell. He was placed on debut and backed that up with another two placings from four starts at first prep. Expect him to have matured for this campaign.
NIC ME SOME has not been beaten all that far in his three runs this time in. Should be at peak fitness for this and would not leave out of winning chances.
ASCOT EXPRESS is another resuming from a break. Couple of sound runs at first prep and from ideal barrier draw he will get his chance.
Tip: MORETON BAY
MAJOR NIC fought the race out strongly at Gold Coast first-up but race fitness told late. Sure to be better from that outing and he should figure in finish.
HIGHLAND EAGLE is a debutant who will not have to be a superstar to get away with this. Watch for any market support.
AFROGINA SOCK has been well held in his two trials but this is not a difficult affair and would not leave him out of multiples.
STYLISH HABIT comes into this ready third-up from spell. Placed at Toowoomba fresh before flat run last start. Looking for her to bounce back in this.
Tip: MAJOR NIC
TRIP THE LIGHT put together a couple of wins this prep then was only run down late here last start but beat the others easily. She gets chance to return to winners stall.
THE DARLING deserves another win this campaign. She comes into this off four straight placings and from inside gate she gets here chance.
FOR MY ANNIE resumes from spell. She was placed at Gold Coast when fresh last time in work and if she finds that for will be right in the mix.
ORSETTO is another fresh from a break. He has won three of his four starts around this circuit including two in a row last time in work. Drawn ideally and cannot leave out first-up.
Tip: TRIP THE LIGHT
Going to have something each way on RECALL EVENTS in this. Been racing in much better races than he finds here and from prefect draw he will get his chance.
SIR GUNSEN demolished a maiden field here last start when he jumped to front and just kept going winning by a big space. If he holds that form he will be the one to catch again.
ASTRAL KNIGHT was beaten just over a length at Beaudesert last start and should have finished touch closer as did not get much room in straight. Awkward gate but must respect.
DÉCOR DEELS comes out of the same Beaudesert race as Astral Knight last start and her run should be forgiven as she never got out at any stage. She could be one at odds for multiples.
Tip: RECALL EVENTS
DAULAT MACHTIGAMOR finished too well for good tough win at Gold Coast two starts back then just missed in driving finish last start. She gets chance to return to winners stall.
WHEELS resumes from spell. She relished the heavy ground winning at Gold Coast on debut. Couple of trials to get her fit and cannot leave her out.
EMERGENT looked like he would benefit from the run when placed at Doomben first-up from spell. Sure to be better from that run and from ideal barrier he will be in this for a long way.
PURPLE DIAMOND loomed to win at Sunshine Coast first-up but just peaked on run final stages. Strips fitter second-up and she will be a factor.
Tip: DAULAT MACHTIGAMOR
KEEFY was well supported at Doomben first-up from spell and ran on into minor placing. Drawn touch awkwardly but with natural improvement he will be right in the mix.
DRY TIMES deserves a win this campaign after some consistent form leading into this. Finished just out of placings in town last start and from ideal barrier can win this.
SCOTTISH PRINCE finished too well to get up and win maiden here last start. Now he has broken through he can go on with it here.
STRATOBEL looked like she needed the run when just held ground at Sunshine Coast first-up. Better from the outing and expect she will be an improver.
Tip: KEEFY
The run of PHANTOM COURT was better than finishing position suggests at Doomben last start. She has been honest in all three runs leading into this and despite barrier will be having something each way.
Surely HOSTAGE OF WAR will be winning a race shortly after six straight placings. Beaten a length here last star and from inside gate he gets chance to go one better.
REBEL ROCK ran on strongly into a minor placing at Doomben last start. Will be giving them a start around Ipswich which is a disadvantage but he has big finish and would not leave out.
DONANDKIM has been solid with a couple of sound placings at last couple. Another backmarker who will need some luck but watch for him late.
Tip: PHANTOM COURT
VIENNA EMPRESS stayed tough and held on for gutsy win at Sunshine Coast first-up then she was not far off placing in a better race in town last start. Barrier the concern but she maybe too good.
SHOOTING ROSES resumes from spell. She got her maiden out of the way this track before break. Won trial leading into this and she can get away with this.
SALTOREE finished too well for them to break her maiden at Eagle Farm last start. Looks smart mare and she can go on with it here.
SCHWEID AS chased home bravely but could not reel leader down at Doomben last start. Makes his own luck going forward and will be in the mix again.
