Eagle Farm R8 – $600k G1 Â Tatt’s Tiara (F&M) 1400m
1. TOFANE (14) 1x3587x721
T: Michael Moroney /J: Craig Williams (57kg)
What a good horse. She is a 1400m specialist and she has never been beaten at this track. Has always put in at Gr 1 level and he is racing with gusto at present. Put to sleep early in the Gr 1 Stradbroke when carrying more weight than a few of her rivals here, yet stormed home in fast time to win. No reason to sack her here. Will give your money a big run.
2. SAVATIANO (16) x1801x1129
T: James Cummings / J: Ryan Maloney (57kg)
Classy galloper who is pretty good at this trip having won 4 times. Is also a Gr 1 winner at 1300m. Not far away when unplaced in the Gr 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup but previous form had been first rate. Can atone. Big show.
3. MIZZY (13) 3x0x602200
T: Annabel Neasham / J: Tommy Berry (57kg)
Class galloper and is very strong late. Has changed ownership and trainer since her last start which was a poor 14th in the Gr 1 Sangster. Prior to that she had placed at Gr 1 level in March. If she is switched on she will be a player.
4. FLIT (20) 29010×5950
T: James Cummings / J: Baylee Nothdurft (57kg)
Has won over $1.5m in prize money and is right up to this on her best form. But she hasn’t raced well at her past 5 starts and looks tested.
5. MADAM ROUGE (7) 741x260x63
T: Chris Waller / J: Luke Dittman (57kg)
Classy mare and very smart with powerful finish on her day. Rocketed home when 2nd up and 3rd to Brooklyn Hustle over 1300m last start and meets her 1kg better here. Is fitter now too. Big danger.
6. SWEET DEAL (3) 41×5084128
T: John Thompson / J: James Orman (57kg)
Interesting galloper. Is enigmatic. Won the Hawkesbury Crown over 1300m from Jen Rules running time and looking good. Then narrowly beaten here over 1200m, when 17th for home. And last start was 3 lengths away when 8th to Brooklyn Hustle. Place show.
7. BROOKLYN HUSTLE (12) 344×487511
T: Jason Warren & Dean Krongold / J: Michael Cahill (57kg)
Strong galloper on her day before last start looking outstanding when last for home, and wide, yet motored home to win the 1300m Dane Ripper at Gr 2 level beating a fair few of these. Never raced at this trip but is a mare in form having won her previous start also in Adelaide. Powerhouse when luck is on her side. Big show.
8. SUBPOENAED (2) 46160×1725
T: Chris Waller / J: Hugh Bowman (57kg)
This might be the big priced dark horse. Got back and wide in the Gr 1 Stradbroke and then came home hard out wide for eye-catching 5th. Is in great form and is extremely fit. This may not be as tough as the Straddie either. Was beaten by Tofane and meets her 3kg worse off, however.
9. NUDGE (8) 360×432211
T: Chris Waller / J: Kerrin McEvoy (54kg)
Is interesting. Very talented especially over a mile and after a series of luckless placings broke through two starts back  at Gr 3 level. Then stepped up to the big Sapphire over 1600m and did the same thing finishing like a train from a mile back to win from YAMAZAKI. Coming back in trip is a little worry, however. Watch betting.
10. ROCHA CLOCK (10) 0619×43113
T: John O’Shea / J: Rachel King (57kg)
This is a vastly and quickly improving race mare. If you like Nudge you have to like this girl too. She carried more weight and beat Nudge in fast time at Randwick in April and went down to Nudge by half a length last start when racing at Eagle Farm for the first time. Definite place hope.
11. LYRE (17) 6462×22049
T: Team Freedman /J: Ben Thompson (57kg)
She’s won $1.7million and is a Gr 1 winner. She always runs on but has had 24 starts and won just 3 times. Place at best.
12. COVENTINA BAY (11) x452131127
T: Rob Patterson / J: Sam Collett (57kg)
Very smart Kiwi mare. Looked in need of the run when still making ground and 7th to Brooklyn Hustle last start. Will strip fitter now and has a great record this trip. Can place.
13. REELEM IN RUBY (1) x07x448830
T: Team Snowden / J: Ron Stewart (57kg)
Good, solid Sydney mare but isn’t quite up to this level.
14. YAMAZAKI (18) 05×5045122
T: Matty Dunn / J: Steph Thornton (57kg)
Nice horse and is in career best form. Has had just the two runs for trainer Matt Dunn and has been outstanding in both, running 2nd to Nudge at Gr 3 then last start narrowly losing to Nudge again in the big Sapphire with Rocha Clock back in 3rd. That makes her a big player here.
15. EMERALDS (6) 15219x360x
T: John Sargent / J: – (57kg)
Smart, strong finishing Sydney mare but resumes here and first-up into a Gr 1 is incredibly hard. Plus has won just once from 5 runs this trip.
16. ODEUM (15) 15112×4202
T: Mick Price & Mick Kent / J: James Mcdonald (55.5kg)
Interesting filly. Has loads of talent and her 2nd to Brooklyn Hustle last start when resuming from a spell was an outstanding trial for this. Is yet to win 2nd up but has won this distance and if she has come on from last start she is a major player.
17. DAME GISELLE (19) 114×493785
T: Team Snowden / J: Jim Byrne (55.5kg)
Strong galloper on her day when ridden on pace but this draw and this trip at this grade will test. She hasn’t shown much fight late this prep and isn’t racing well enough.
18. SIERRA SUE (4) x110x97x06
T: Trent Busuttin & Nat Young / J: Robbie Fradd (57kg)
You had to like the way she fought on when a close-up 6th to Brooklyn Hustle last start and needed the run. Saying that, this race is tough though.
19. CHARLEISE (5) 30×3621211
T: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace / J: Ben Thompson (57kg)
Has a big strong finish on her day and is in career best form. Got back and charged late to narrowly win the Listed Spearchief here over 1500m. That is an easier race than this. Place at the best.
20. JEN RULES (9) 396×408264
T: Team Snowden / J: Larry Cassidy (57kg)
Led and caught late by Sweet Deal in the Gr 3 Crown at Hawkesbury then ran an excellent and close-up 4th last start to Brooklyn Hustle. Drawn better than many and could sneak a place.
Tip: 1. TOFANE, Â 2. Brooklyn Hustle, 3. Subpoenaed, 4. Madam Rouge
