Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Flemington | Tues 2nd Nov

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Tuesday’s Flemington meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 10 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: Out 2m entire circuit

BRERETON was sent out favourite at Caulfield on debut and just missed by barest possible margin. Better from the race experience and he can go one better.

WILBURY has shown enough in jumpouts to suggest he has plenty of ability. Drawn to get some nice cover and he can find the rails which is an advantage for debutants.

LASCARS was making good late ground when placed down the Flemington straight on debut and the experience down the straight will be invaluable in this. Top chance.

RENOSU was placed in the same race as Brereton at Caulfield on debut when made good late ground. Should get some cover and can see him angling off heels last 200m and powering over these.

Tip: BRERETON

ACCOUNTABILITY did few things wrong at Caulfield but still chased home late when grabbed minor placing. He will be better on the bigger track and this a winnable race.

THINK WE’RE DUE fought the race out strongly when placed in the Horsham Cup last start. He has been racing in consistent form and would not leave out of multiples.

SKYMAX has been battling a little this prep but he is rock hard fit and would not be surprised to see him improve enough to be in the mix.

Liked the way SAVVY VALENTINO finished the race off when beaten less than a length at Randwick last start. He brings solid form from Sydney and must respect.

Tip: ACCOUNTABILITY

HOUSAY resumes from spell. Lightly raced gelding who did not run a bad race at first prep. If he is forward enough he can get away with this.

STANDOFF looked like she would benefit from her run when just one paced at Caulfield first-up. Drawn to get ideal run and look for improvement.

EXCELMAN resumes from spell. He has won fresh previously and drawn to enjoy all the favours. Only needs luck from the corner to be right in mix.

NOT TO BE MIST comes into this ready third-up from spell. Improved effort when battled on well at Caulfield last start. Would not leave out of multiples.

Tip: HOUSAY

SKYMAN is overdue for a win this campaign after a string of consistent runs. Chased home Thought Of That at The Valley last start and from inside gate gets his chance to go one better.

CHARLEISE was beaten less than 2 lengths in Group 3 company at Randiwck last start. Finds a winnable race and she only needs to hold that form to be right in the mix.

BEST OF DAYS is the experienced gelding who battled on well when wide at The Valley last start. Drawn ideally and he has class edge on these.

MILTON PARK jumped to the front and gave nothing else a chance in the Sale Cup last start. Expect he will try similar tactics in this and if left alone will take catching.

Tip: SKYMAN

Going to have something each way on OCEAN BEYOND who chased home steadily when place behind the smart Lombardo at Caulfield last start. Third-up and that form good for this.

FRANKIE PINOT has been racing in consistent. Beaten less than a length in nice race at Caulfield last start and he only needs to hold that form to be a factor in this.

PINDARIC found the front and kept kicking to win in Adelaide last start. Expect he will control this race from the front and he will take some reeling in last 200m.

BLONDEAU brings sound form down from Sydney. Waller/McDonald combination on fire early in the carnival and cannot leave them out of winning chances.

Tip: OCEAN BEYOND

Have big opinion of the speedy ENTHAAR and been waiting for her reappearance. May have been at end of prep in the Blue Diamond when knocked up final stages. She has the speed to lead and win these.

PROFITEER looked like he would benefit from the run when placed in the Blue Sapphire first-up. Sure to strip fitter and he has the class to win this.

DIRECT was dominant maiden winner at Cranbourne two starts back then went to Caulfield and was only overran late. He is progressive and can measure up to these.

TADWEER has done nothing wrong winning his first two starts on the provincial circuit. Deserves his chance in town and would not leave out of exotics.

Tip: ENTHAAR

How do they beat INCENTIVISE. If it was not the Melbourne Cup I feel he would be long odds on favourite. Dominant in the Caulfield Cup and the only query, if there is one, is the two miles. Brett Prebble knows how to win the big race and he is clear top pick.

SPANISH MISSION is a class import but the issues he has had since coming to Australia are concerning but stable would not run him if not fit enough and class will take him a long way.

TRALEE ROSE was brave fighting on strongly to win the Geelong Cup last start. This has been her grand final for a very long time and she loves Flemington and with no weight on her back will be right in mix.

FLOATING ARTIST has been a model of consistency this time in. Can see him working forward with no weight and he should be prominent throughout. Would not be leaving him out of exotics.

Tip: INCENTIVISE

AGREEABLE was too strong final stages at Caulfield. Comes into this at peak fitness third-up from spell and although drawn touch wide he can win again.

Forget the finishing position of LA MEXICANA in the G1 Manikato Stakes at The Valley last start when copped bad check before the corner. She gets back in winnable race.

APRIL RAIN should have won at Rosehill first-up from spell. She is a smart mare who will strip fitter second-up from spell and looks a major player.

RICH HIPS has not been beaten all that far in her three runs this time in and she is a Flemington winner. Will sit back but she has big finish and watch for her late.

Tip: AGREEABLE

MARACANA won her first two starts on the provincial circuit with ease. She chased home impressively and was an eye catcher in Group 2 company at The Valley. Bigger track will suit and she can win this.

SPIRIT OF GAYLARD relished the heavy to win his maiden first-up then he should have finished closer at The Valley in Group 2 company last start. Third-up from spell and this a winnable race.

Forget that VILLADEN started at The Valley last start as he was badly checked before the corner and weakened. Going to need some luck from wide gate but a must for exotics.

SEBASTIAN THE FOX was placed in nice race here two starts back then he stayed on well enough when just out of placings last start. Drawn ideally and he will get chance from the corner.

Tip: MARACANA

Going to finish Cup Day with a bit of value and have something each way on EXPRESS PASS. Found Group 1 class too hot in the Manikato when always well back. Gets back in tight race here.

PANDEMIC comes into this ready to win third-up from spell. Placed in both runs to begin this campaign and the outside rail may be the place to be by Race 10.

RUBISAKI is class mare who looked like she needed the hit-out first-up from spell. She has won two of four second-up starts and she can finish all over these.

RANTING was making steady ground at The Valley last start without threatening. Sure to be better from the run and expect improvement.

Tip: EXPRESS PASS
