Looking for Jamie Kah to start the program with a winner on the debutant REGULUS. Always advantage for juvenile to be making debut on home track and thought he showed enough in Werribee trial to be included at each way value.
CARDINAL GEM finished the race off strongly to win on the synthetic at Ballarat last start. Has the race experience and no reason he cannot win again.
JAGAR looks ready to break her maiden status and gets chance third-up from spell. Placed on the Ballarat synthetic fresh then followed up with minor spot at Cranbourne. Will be competitive.
MENNEA created a big impression winning his maiden on debut in a canter at Donald. Obviously up to city class a step up but he looks talented enough to figure.
Tip: REGULUS
Thought RATHLIN was very generous each way odds in this. Just missed on this track two starts back then forget Caulfield run last start when always wide. Must have something the win and more the place.
VISUALISING won his maiden with something in hand at Cranbourne two starts back then not sure he was at best on the heavy ground last start. He can bounce back in this.
SEB SONG has been working to the line nicely in his races of late. If he can settle a touch better in his races he will go close to winning this.
FAC was dominant at Hillside two starts back getting his maiden out of the way then another who just battled late on the heavy ground last start. He can sneak a place in this.
Tip: RATHLIN
GRAND PROMENADE gave them a galloping lesson here last start when controlled the race from the front before sprinting away. If he gets soft lead he wins again.
SMOKIN’ PIERRO has been racing in consistent form with three straight placings in similar races. He looks the main danger to the favourite.
ROYAL CROWN started favourite at Werribee last start and just finished too well form them final stages for good strong win. This a harder task but he has place claims.
Liked the way MASTER CHUM worked to the line when placed at big odds here last start. Been racing well enough to be included in first four bets.
Tip: GRAND PROMENADE
ROYALZEL relished the heavy ground when finishing too well to win at Rosehill last start. Drawn to get all the favours and he looks well placed in this field.
FORBIDDEN CITY looks close to breaking her maiden status. Beaten less than a length in both runs this time in and third-up from spell she looks a major player.
BON VIVANT was hitting the line strongly here on debut. Sure to be better from that race experience and a must for each way punters.
CELESTIAL FURY was brave chasing back to win here last start. He meets a similar field and no reason he cannot make it two from two.
Tip: ROYALZEL
Run of AIDENSFIELD was better than finishing position suggests here last start when beaten less than a length in bunched finish. Strips fitter from that outing and she is a winner second-up.
FOXY FRIDA finished too well for them winning here last start. That made it two from her last three starts and she cannot be left out of winning chances.
STAR OF UMA has been racing in super form in Adelaide and got the job done last start with a clear win. If she brings that form across the border she will go very close in this.
SO FAR AWAY has been in winning form around the provincial circuit. Deserves her chance in town and can measure up to these.
Tip: AIDENSFIELD
Hard to see them beating DICE ROLL on what he showed here last start with clear win. That made it three straight this prep and no reason he cannot win again.
ODEON has been a model of consistency with three straight placings this time in and expect he will be right in the mix at the business end.
ADELAIDE ACE finished too well to win the Swan Hill Cup last start after a couple of solid placings. Should be at peak fitness and can make it two in a row.
BIOMETRIC was strong at the end of his race to win at Caulfield last outing. Finds similar race and can go on with it here.
Tip: DICE ROLL
REUBER just lacked winning dash here last start but he was still not beaten all that far. Previous form good enough for this and he cannot be left out of each way chances.
UNIQUE ARTIST sat just off the pace before sprinting clear final stages for soft win this track last start. That made it two from her last two starts and no reason she cannot win again.
LITERATI just found one better on the heavy ground at Hillside two starts back then was only run down last 200m here last start. Drawn to get ideal run and a must for each way chances.
DON ARCANGELO was a dominant winner at Newcastle last start and that made it two wins from last three starts and can measure up to this.
Tip: REUBER
THE ASTROLOGIST jumped to the front and held them all off to win here last start. Racing well enough to make it two in a row.
WILLIAM THOMAS looked bit stiff not to have beaten The Astrologist here last start when found some trouble late. He can turn the tables in this.
ISAURIAN only had the one run last time in work and that was luckless run in Listed company. He flies fresh having win five of six first-up starts and would not be surprised to see him win this.
Did not mind the way BANQUO finished the race off first-up behind The Astrologist first-up and he was not beaten all that far. He has won fresh and this is not beyond him.
Tip: THE ASTROLOGIST
DON’TTELLTHEBOSS looks to be juicy each way odds again in this. Comes off strong last start win this track and wit advantage of apprentice claim again no reason she will not be in finish.
LINDHOUT was running on strongly here last start when ran into placing. She deserves a win this prep and will not get better chance than this.
PARMIE comes into this third-up from spell. Not sure she was at her best on the heavy ground last start when did not finish race off. If she gets firmer she can figure.
GALGANI won at Hillside first-up from spell then she backed that up with solid minor placing here last start. Third-up from spell and cannot leave out of place chances.
Tip: DON’TTELLTHEBOSS
