Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturday’s Flemington meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: Out 6m entire circuit

PESTO finished the race off soundly when working into a distant second spot on the heavy ground at Warwick Farm last start. This not difficult and he can figure.

MONREAL comes into this ready third-up from spell. Been well held in both Sydney runs but he finds easier assignment and can sneak into a placing.

EUREKA STREET has been racing consistently without threatening. Will not get a better chance than this to return to winners stall.

Tip: PESTO

Have been impressed with the jumpouts of ZOUSMIC and happy to have something on him at debut. Must always respect stable debutants.

AMALGAMATION is another first starter from the Peter Moody camp. He is another that has shown ability and would watch for any market support.

ADRETT has the advantage of race experience on a few of these. Placed at Cranbourne on debut then held her ground at Geelong last start. Would not leave her out of winning chances.

Tip: ZOUSMIC

FLASH FEELING finished too well to get the prize here last start. Again has the advantage of apprentice claim and no reason he cannot win again.

SECRET GLAMOUR was placed at Hillside three back then she was taken to Sydney but failed in two heavy track runs. Back in easier company and if finds better track will figure.

NATURAL MYSTIC raced up on the speed at Pakenham on debut before proving too smart final stages. Finds harder race but he can measure up to these.

Tip: FLASH FEELING

KIR ROYALE started favourite at Eagle Farm last start but she wanted to overrace and just did not finish race off well enough. Fitter second-up and expect improvement.

ARRANMORE was not too bad here last start and not beaten all that far. If she can hold that form she would be a factor in this.

Only race fitness that cost LITERARY MAGNATE first-up at Hillside when found one better late. Sure to be better from the run and he can win this.

Tip: KIR ROYALE

If STAR PATROL produces what he did here last start it is hard to see them beating him. Sustained burst of speed and won in a canter. He goes on top again.

OUTBACK ACTION is another that made a big impression winning his maiden at Mornington last start by 6 lengths. Finds harder race but looks city class.

SCISSOR STEP is such an honest gelding. Raced bit tight last start and just did not finish well enough. The wide Flemington straight should suit him.

Tip: STAR PATROL

COOLTH comes into this ready third-up from spell. He looked a touch unlucky not to have won here last start and if he can get some clear air can win this.

AUSTRATA finished too well to win at Hillside two starts back then he raced wide last start and did not finish well enough. Would include in multiples.

FIVE KINGDOM looks the likely leader and if he can control the race from the front may take some running down last 200m.

Tip: COOLTH

IT’SOURTIME was beaten less than a length in Listed company at Caulfield two starts back then just missed placings last start. Third-up from spell ready to win.

FRONT PAGE was well supported in Wagga Town Plate and showed exciting turn-of-hoof powering away to win easily. If he finds best will be in mix again.

FLORESCENT STAR comes into this ready third-up from spell. Placed in both runs back and this looks nice race for her to return to winners stall.

Tip: IT’SOURTIME

TUVALU is a smart gelding who was just too classy for them at Warrnambool first-up from break. Sure to be better from the run and yet to miss a place. He can win again.

SKYMAN comes into this ready to find best form third-up from a spell. Beaten less than a length at Caulfield last start and that form good enough for this.

VITRUVIUS should have won at Hillside last start. He had no luck in the run and still stayed on for second spot. Third-up and ready to win.

Tip: TUVALU

Going to have something each way on GRAND POPE fresh from a break. Placed at Pakenham first-up last time in work and he is good enough for this.

MRS SIPPY is another first-up. Not beaten all that far in three runs to end last campaign on this track. She has won fresh and can run into a placing in this.

ZAC DE BOSS looked winner here last start but just found one better final stages. He only needs that form to be right in the mix again.

Tip: GRAND POPE
