Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturday’s Eagle Farm meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 9 races. Good luck, punters!
Track Condition: Good 4
Rail Position: Out 3m the entire circuit
Eagle Farm R1 – BM80 Handicap 1815m
SEE MARIE seems to be working up towards a win. Worked home steadily last time out and look for a forward showing.
RAYGEN looked good winning from up on speed last start. Well in on weights and should be in the mix.
KUZCO LAD has won his last two at Toowoomba and is in good form. A win wouldn’t surprise here in town.
Tip: SEE MARIE
Eagle Farm R2 – Class 3 Plate 1600m
DEFICIT is racing very consistently in NSW recently and this looks like a very suitable race for him to get back into the winners’ stall in the Sunshine state.
GWAN SO was impressive last start at Grafton over the carnival. Could easily step up to city class today.
SEA PALLING drawn the coveted inside draw today so will get the gun run throughout. Must be rated a hope in an open affair.
Eagle Farm R3 – 2yo Handicap 1400m
RECOMMENDATION is stepping up in class for the Maher/Eustace camp but has done all asked of him so far. Should be extremely hard to beat.
BILLIONAIR BABY is a very nice gelding. He put them away easily once he got clear last time out at Doomben. Looks ready for Saturday grade now.
HELLAVADANCER was soft win last time out at Gunnedah. Can she step up to this grade is the only question mark.
Eagle Farm R4 – BM75 Handicap 2400m
OCEANIC FLASH has come up north from NSW probably looking for firmer ground. Was very tough in the mud at Rosehill last start and a win is close.
HONORABLE SPIRIT ran a bottler in listed grade at Grafton during the carnival. Enjoys track and distance and will be competitive here.
ENDORPHINS came from well back last start in a 2200m at Eagle Farm to just go under. If can position closer today, is a winning hope.
Tip: OCEANIC FLASH
Eagle Farm R5 – Three-Years-Old Fillies Handicap 1200m
FEARNOUGHT enjoys the trip with two wins and two placings. Worked home nicely for a third recently and no reason she can’t improve more to win today.
HUSS ON FIRST one start one win. Can’t do more than that and was most impressive winning that race in midweek class at Doomben last start. May have more upside than its rivals.
TILIANAM looks suited in this race. Although has top weight with 59kgs he has run some nice races this time in. Draw is the only concern.
Eagle Farm R6 – BM78 Handicap 1200m
DELYTH has been super impressive to date and hard to beat after her last start victory. She sat on speed and drove clear for a convincing win. Only 53kgs makes her appealing.
GO WANDJI will be the swooper in the race. Can he give away a lead and weight is the question. Seemingly the only danger to the favorite.
FLEET DOVE will position in behind the leading group. Is racing well and should be included in all multiples.
Eagle Farm R7 – Class 6 Plate 1000m
THE MOVE gets a 3kg claim here and could be the one coming over them at the line. Has won twice previously first up, so bears close watching.
OSAMU won nicely at Eagle Farm 2 weeks ago giving nothing else a chance from the front. If can dictate again, can win again.
WINSIDE is racing oh so consistently. 17 starts for 14 placings. Definitely worth a place ticket or two.
Tip: THE MOVE
Eagle Farm R8 – Open Handicap 1400m
PALLADAS will he ever get any lick in a race. Again, struck trouble in behind them at Rockhampton. If he gets clear room in the race, look for him to be challenging at the right time.
LOOKS LIKE ELVIS he’s a proven performer who just some an ounce of luck in run to get a position today. He is classy so that may give him the edge.
GIANNIS forget all the duck eggs against his name. Had a couple of trials and he looks ready to get going again. He is very classy when right and one to keep an eye on in the yard.
Eagle Farm R9 – Three-Years-Old Handicap 1400m
MANHOOD led easily last run and when asked for the effort, sprinted away for a soft win. Although midweek class, did look a likely type who will make it in the city.
GHOSTWRITER will get the gun run along the fence. Look for him to be sneaking home along the rail, when the others are tiring down the lane.
YES DREAM another with some impressive stats to his name. 8 starts and 6 wins. Will get back from the draw but if pace is on, will be closing late.
