Doomben R1 – Maiden Plate 1050m
BIXILON fought the race out solidly when placed at Eagle Farm first-up. Will strip fitter second-up and this looks a winnable maiden. He goes on top.
I AM AZZURRO is a debutant from the Morrissey stable. He looked impressive winning last Gold Coast trial and although drawn wide would not leave him out at first start.
ZOUVALU resumes from a spell. She was placed at Mornington when fresh last time in work and showed enough in Victoria to suggest she can figure in this.

Doomben R2 – Three-year-old C&G Maiden Plate 1200m
MAPLE DOOR finished the race off stylishly when placed here first-up from spell. Will strip fitter and she was placed second-up at first prep. Going to have something each way.
MILLWARD made good late ground when placed over the 1000m at Sunshine Coast first-up. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and she will be better from the first-up outing.
FLYING DEPUTY led them up here first-up and was only overran final stages. Sure to better from the run and he will be in this for a long way.

Doomben R3 – Two-year-old Maiden Plate 1200m
I like NORTHERN PRIDE in this. Looked the winner at Eagle Farm last start when hit front at 200m but was overran final stages. He will not get better chance to break maiden status than this.
RUSSIAN QUEEN started favourite at Eagle Farm last start and although she covered plenty of extra ground still held on for brave placing. Drawn awkwardly but will be in mix again.
SEA COMMITS will not be a maiden for much longer. She has been placed in last couple at Gold Coast and from ideal barrier expect her to be right in the mix.
Tip: NORTHERN PRIDE
Doomben R4 – Three-year-old Fillies Maiden Plate 1200m
The query runner in this is the debutant HUSS ON FIRST. She made a big impression when she powered away to win her only trial by a big space. In astute stable and expect she will be well supported at first start.
ISLAND MAGIC started long odds on favourite at Sunshine Coast last start but just found one better on the line. She will go forward again and sure to take catching.
GOSSIP COLUMN did it tough here first-up but still stayed on and held placing. If he gets better run here he will be right in the mix.
Tip: HUSS ON FIRST
Doomben R5 – BM85 Handicap 2030m
FAST TALKING just keeps winning. Made it three wins from his last four starts when he won at Sunshine Coast last start. No reason he cannot make it three in row.
BARADE was not beaten all that far at Eagle Farm two starts back then he was poor on the heavy last start. Drawn ideally and if he gets better ground will go close.
HOSTAGE OF WAR won two straight at Gatton before finding heavy ground last start and battling. Another that will benefit from improved surface.
Tip: FAST TALKING
Doomben R6 – Class 5 Handicap 1350m
JOY TOO ALL finished too well and got the prize on the poly track two back then was not beaten all that far at Eagle Farm. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and will have last crack at these.
ACROBATIC wanted to lay in at Eagle Farm last start but he still kept coming and placed behind the smart Go Wandji. If he can improve his racing manners he can get away with this.
CAPRI OF TUFFY was not beaten all that far in same race as Acrobatic first-up. She will be better from the outing and would not be surprised to see her win this.

Doomben R7 – Class 2 Handicap 1050m
NORD LYON had some support in much better race than this at Ipswich last start but he just got too far back around the tight circuit and was well beaten. Not beaten far in Listed company prior.
KINGSCOTE resumes from spell. He has been placed in two of his three first-up tries and from ideal barrier would include in major chances with Callow aboard.
EARLY CROW is another first-up from spell. He won his first couple to start his career then may have had enough when found heavy ground and battled before break. Recent trial will have him fit for this.

Doomben R8 – BM68 Handicap 1630m
AWE finished too well and got the prize at Sunshine Coast two starts back then he was unlucky late when held-up at Eagle Farm last start. If he gets a clearer path he will be right in this.
GOLDSCHLAGER looks ready to return to the winners stall this prep coming into this off a couple of sound placings. Drawn little awkwardly but cannot leave her out.
PETUNIA finished too well back on the fence here two starts back then went to Eagle Farm and was not disgraced. Drawn little awkwardly but she is racing well enough to figure.

Doomben R9 – BM65 Handicap 1200m
CHERRYPICK resumes from spell. She has been placed in both first-up and from ideal barrier this looks nice race for her to make her Queensland debut.
DUCHESS ROTHESAY comes into this ready to find best form third-up from spell. Placed at Sunshine Coast before poor run here last start. She can bounce back.
MANHOOD started favourite at Gold Coast first-up and he finished too well for clear win. This a step up but he looks set for a solid prep and must consider.
