Rail Position: Out 6m entire circuit

Going to have something each way on AXEL ‘R’ EIGHT at big odds first-up from spell. May want longer than he has here but expect he will run cheeky race fresh.

STAR PRESENT deserves his chance in town. Won both races at Kalgoorlie since coming across from Hong Kong. Pike aboard and can measure up.

HIP WIGGLE won here three starts back then not been beaten far in two runs since. Drawn to get ideal run in transit and can sneak into a place in this.

BUSTER BASH relished the heavy ground and gave them a galloping lesson here last start. If he gets his own way again he will be the one to catch.

Tip: AXEL ‘R’ EIGHT

THE FRONT BAR jumped to the front and gave nothing else a chance here last start. Looks promising and if Pike can get her across to the fence and find the front she can win again.

STATE OF POWER relished the heavy and won in a canter here two starts back then was placed behind The Front Bar last start. She will be in finish again.

VIA MONTE has been racing in consistent form with two solid placings leading into this. Only needs to hold that form to be right in the mix.

STORY BOOK resumes from spell. She won her debut at Pinjarra with ease and she may find best when fresh. Must include in first four picks.

Tip: THE FRONT BAR

EXPRESS TIME just could not find the rail last start and that was crucial as she weakened last 200m. Drawn to get better run here and would be looking for her to improve off that effort.

WILCHINO sprinted clear soon after straightening for what was an impressive win from on the pace here last start. She makes own luck and can win again.

PEARLS AND PRAWNS won at Kalgoorlie fresh then beaten less than a length same track last start. Third-up from spell and is up to winning this.

DAISHIO won here two starts back then went to Northam and again proved too good. Drawn to get the perfect run in transit and she should get her chance at some stage.

Tip: EXPRESS TIME

VITAL FLIRT just keeps winning. She made it three in a row when tough holding on to win here last start. This an even race but hard to knock winning form.

ABERDEEN QUEEN was beaten less than 2 lengths here two starts back then just bit one paced last start. She is never far away and would not be surprised to see her in finish.

BAD WOLF has not been beaten all that far in his last couple and runs and he finds a similar race. Cannot leave him out of first four chances.

Tip: VITAL FLIRT

Always had an opinion of PHONEME and first-up from spell happy to have something each way on him. Given easy time in recent Lark Hill trial and that should have him forward enough.

SILKINIZE has been placed in two of his last three starts and looks ready to win. Will not want it too wet but would not be surprised to see him win this.

DIA DE LA RAZA will roll along in front in his favourite roll and he has been strong winning both starts this time in. If he gets his own way he will be the one they have to catch.

Tip: PHONEME

GIANT LEAP showed nice turn of hoof to finish too well and win here last start. Finds a similar field and from inside gate he will get the perfect run and have last shot at these.

NOTORIOUS ONE won on the heavy here two starts back then no luck here last start and arguably should have won again. He will be in finish.

MANHATTAN MONEY deserves her chance in town this prep after winning two of last three starts at Kalgoorlie. This is harder but must include in place chances.

LONDON MISS has been threatening to win with a couple of sound placings leading into this. Drawn to get perfect run in transit and she can figure in exotics.

Tip: GIANT LEAP

DUNBAR arguably should have won his first two starts this prep when ran into trouble both times but when he did get his chance last start was overran. Looking for him to bounce back in this.

ROCKY PATH will settle out the back but she has a big finish and been hitting the line hard into placings of late. She can win this.

KAPTAIN KAOS resumes from spell. He won first three last time in work and expect he will be competitive first-up.

ZEPHYR QUEEN controlled the race from the front here last start and was never in danger last 200m. If she gets her own way she will be tough to run down.

Tip: DUNBAR

TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN is the query resuming from a spell. Class runner and expect he will take a forward position and if fit enough can get away with this.

MONTELENA was as little disappointing here first-up from spell when did not finish the race off well enough. Sure to be better from the run and she is a quality mare.

TRUE ATTRACTION finished too well to win here two starts back then he was well beaten by a couple of smart ones last start. Back in right race.

Tip: TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN

TENA KOUTOU strung together three straight impressive wins then was just ran over final stages in Listed company last start. Makes own luck going forward and will take running down.

CROSSARO is working through his grades impressively having won last couple this track. Can measure up to this field and expect him to be in finish.

ARAGAIN finally broke through for a win here last start and she has always shown ability. She gets chance to go on with it here.

SLUICE BOX was placed here two starts back then got going late here last start but never close enough. Barrier draw a concern.
