There are a few hopes in this. But I like the old mare BEANS. She’s versatile and mixes her form and distances quite a lot. For example she’s placed a few times over 1100m and last start ran on well when 3rd at Wangaratta over 1590m. Drawn perfectly today to sit in about 4th spot to the bend and because she has very good place stats on wet tracks she should be too fit down the running for these. DEEP SPACE is racing well without luck also and can bob up into a place too. Good contest.

The draw and the weight make STONE COLD a bit of a show but I think at big odds NEWTOWN IS COMING can land the chocolates here. He is very fit and has been just behind the place getters at his past few in similar company. The difference today I think is the state of the track. He does very well on wet ground which he will get here. Was only 3 lengths behind the handy Passistas at Nowra 2 runs back in better grade over 1000m. Quinella them today.

There is no question this is a stronger field than what DEVINE MISS ran against last start, meaning mostly the final 600m will be tougher. But, she won that race like a smart one in the making, most impressive was the fact it was a heavy track and she just ploughed through it to win by nearly 4 lengths. She was also first-up from a spell that day. So strips fitter and gets similar track conditions here. I like her.
