Horse Racing Tips – Kensington | Wed 1st September

Racing expert, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three racing tips for each race at the Kensington meeting at Randwick. Good luck, punters. 

There is an enormous boom on this Warwick Farm debut horse PROFONDO. He’s won three trials in a row and won them with authority. Plus, he has been heavily backed overnight.

MONEY FROM THE SKY has already raced and impressed. He hits the ground running and just keeps it going. That experience will benefit him a great deal.  So is peaking perfectly.

GREATER HARLEM looked in need of the run last start when resuming. ran well enough to suggest, with Jay Mac on top here, that he is a player in this race.

 

Tip: PROFONDO @ $2.25

Not much separates a few of these. DREAM RUNNER is a useful plodder at this level and he is racing well enough. After winning this grade he was a game 5th. Give another chance.

TERWILLIKER, if all goes according to plan and form, should lead all the way here. He’s tough and has run some strong placings in better races of late. Did look to win last start when 2nd and obviously has talent enough.

TRUE MARVEL is also on the improve with placings at past 4 runs this level. Drawn to get a great run.

 Tip: TERWILLIKER @ $2.90

Interesting race in-so-much as there are a few with genuine talent. One is WARRIOR HERO. He resumes here but did snare a couple of wins when last in work then ran a useful 6th at stakes level. Drawn perfectly to be just behind the speed here.

There are a few who like to lead but this JOURNALISM led and held on to win on debut. And everything says he will be even better today.

MABEL, unlike quite a few here, likes to get back and she is very honest. And fit. Should again be dashing home hard.

Tip: JOURNALISM @ $4.30

COME ALONG hasn’t won for a long time and has been just behind the placegetters past few at this level. Today he gets in on even terms though, on his home track and I suspect a better showing.

MAJELLA has raced three times this time up, one of them a win at BM 72 level. Goes up 2.5kg but last start 4th was a strong effort too so much be in this finish. So I will follow that lead.

ESTREET is up in grade here but did come with a wet sail to win maiden, here at this trip last start. Small field but a much stronger one so expect him to run home into a place.

Tip: COME ALONG @ $8.50

The 2kg claim of Brock Ryan aboard BRAZEN MISS will help as she needs to find form and is back in grade. Might be the spark she needs. Is capable.

SEQUANA is a handy mare and on her day she cane get back and charge late. Encouraging effort when resuming last start in this class when a fast finishing 3rd. Hughie rides and is 2nd up.

SILHOUETTE is pretty handy and is ready to progress to Saturday grade and beyond. Likely to also get back but has wheels and will be charging home hard.

Tip: SILHOUETTE @ $6.20

RUSTIC STEEL will give your money a great run. He’s up to this, is up for this and gets a 2kg claim. is very honest and is 3rd up here.

Because he has Hughie on top, is 2nd up and on his home track I’ll be throwing JOJO WAS A MAN into my numbers.

Winning form is best form so I have to consider KENNEDY CHOICE who is in line for three wins on the bounce. Big danger.

Tip: RUSTIC STEEL @ $3.70

I think NIKOHLI BEAGLE is a very good bet here. He’s fit is down in class, gets the benefit of a 2kg claim and this track will suit. Bound to sit back near last then round them up.

STOICAL is handy and looks to get out and go forward here. Won at Kembla in slightly easier race when on speed with a big weight two runs back. Is trained here.

SKY COMMAND won first two starts then was run over in stronger race last start when a fading 8th. Is sharp and is much better suited to this..
