1. SNAPDANCER (21) 1339×21101

T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace /J: Ethan Brown (57kg)

Top class mare who is already a Gr 1 winner. Did that last start when she burnt out from 15 gate over 1200m to easily win the Robert Sangster. Never won this trip and drawn horribly but has super early speed and no doubt goes hard again to lead. Will be in front for a long way. Big show.

2. SHOUT THE BAR (2) 00x57x810x

T: Gai waterhouse & Adrian Bott/ J: Ryan Maloney (57kg)

Good mare on her day and is also a Gr 1 winner. Likes to lead most times too but this time I can’t see her holding out Snapdancer who should be marked urgent from gate rise. Ran 2nd in recent trial.

3. ANNAVISTO (11) x2153x142x

T: Mick Price & Michael Kent/ J: Rachel King (57kg)

What a good, honest mare who was 2nd at her latest start, it being in a Gr 1 over a mile in the mud. Also likes to lead. Is very consistent and is deadly while fresh. She resumes here so respect her.

4. AWAY GAME (17) 286×232720

T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace / J: Willy Pike  (57kg)

Is building towards a gun effort here. Beaten half a length in Gr 1 Oakleigh Plate, then, was 2nd to Snapdancer in the Gr 1 Sangster. Failed badly last start but is back in class a little here and did run a recent 2nd in a trial. Respect her but she will be a long way back as they straighten.

5. KIKU (10) 8×23532720

T: Chris Waller / J: Tommy Berry (57kg)

Good mare who is in sparkling form. Ran home hard to beat Nudge and Atishu last start over a mile in $500k Nat Classic. Harder here but the speed will be on and she can really run home hard late.

6. VANGELIC (8) 053x3736x0

T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott / J: Mark Du Plessis (57kg)

Interesting galloper. Gets up on speed and is generally pretty tough. On best form is well up to these but last start was 2nd for home before wilting over 1300m behind Palaisipan. This should test.

7. NUDGE (19) x306230x62

T: Chris Waller / J: Nash Rawiller (57kg)

Looks a genuine knock out hope. Loves a faster pace and will get that here. Beaten half a length by Kiku last start over a mile. Will love this journey and looms large although will probably go back from this gate.

8. BROOKLYN HUSTLE (13) 954×262666

T: Jason Warren & Dean Krongold / J: Steph Thornton (57kg)

Disappoints nearly every start but at the same time always does enough to get you back in again. Ran 6th in the Gr 1 Stradbroke when making good ground late. On times, she was 6th that day, and she ran a time that would win this. Keep her very safe.

9. WANDABAA (9) 20×7164522

T:  Kris Lees / J: Hugh Bowman (57kg)

Deserves a Group 1 win. Just tries her heart out in every race over every distance. Gets back and runs on hard. Beaten into 2nd place last start over 1200m in Gr 2 Moreton Cup behind Baller. Hughie rides and should flash late again. Big show.

10. ATISHU (5) 1600x6P333

T: Chris Waller/ J: -Jay Ford 57kg)

Absolutely flew home past three runs, and ran 3rd in all of them. Latest two, would have won in another stride. Is honest and just needs luck in the straight to be a major player.

11. CHARMMEBABY (20) 161120×021

T: Lawrie Mayfield-Smith /J: Larry Cassidy (57kg)

Classy mare but drawn badly. May not get in but is racing in career best form, winning latest over a mile in strong time.

12. WRITTEN BEAUTY (18) 9x555x7155

T: Chris Waller / J: James Orman (57kg)

Has talent. Good mare who will have to go back to near last before unwinding. That may be a problem as there will be plenty of traffic in front of her. Can run on hard though.

13. YAMAZAKI (15) 20x9273x49

T: Annabel Neasham / J: Brodie Loy (57kg)

Tough mare but is a length of so behind a few of these in talent.

14. PALAISIPAN (14) 10x212x551

T: Chris Munce / J:  Luke Tarrant (57kg)

Has ability and will run very boldly. Is deadly this trip and although up in grade is showing enough to say she has claims. Swamped them late to win Gr 2 Dane Ripper over 1300m. Big chance.

15. BRING THE RANSOM (6) x731450x10

T: Bjorn Baker/ J: Brock Ryan (57kg)

Has won 4 races at this trip but mixes her form. Can run well but does look a length or so off a few of these.

16. STARTANTES (7) 0x362x4595

T: Rob Heathcote / J: Jason Collett (55.5kg)

Good, strong  filly who was 5th in the Gr 1 Stradbroke behind Alligator Blood. And she ran home brilliantly from 16th on bend. Up 5.5kg but down in class. Can make presence felt.

17. ENCHANTED HEART (1) 8168x59x40

T: Kris Lees/ J: Kyle Wilson-Taylor (57kg)

This is a nice handicap mare who may be short of the grade needed for a Gr 1 win.

18. SALATEEN (3) 132116×323

T: Tony Gollan/ J: Jim Byrne  (57kg)

Yet to win this track from 4 starts but has placed in all of them and that tells the tale of her talent too. Is so honest. Hits the line with aggression. Drawn to be in about 6th spot all the way and if she gets a run in the straight will dash home hard. Place.

19. DZSENIFER (12) x474128x18

T: Gary Duncan / J: Ben Thompson (57kg)

solid mare with talent and is 3rd up going into this. May be a length behind the better ones but loves the trip and can run on.

20. APRIL RAIN (16) 5x294x9206

T: Chris Waller/ J:  Larry Cassidy  (57kg)

Good mare but is a gunna horse. Is always gunna win a big one but just never seems to on race day.

21. TYCOON EVIE (4) 0x41530x64

T: Rex Lipp & Nick Hahn / J: – (57kg)

Handy mare drawn well but even if she gets a start she may find these too tough.
