Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!

This race has a short-priced fav in it called ARTZINO who is having his 2nd race start and should run boldly. But, if we map it right, I think he gets rolled. FERRARI MAN has drawn the widest gate and as such he will be ridden hard from barrier rise. This means he ignites early, rushes hard from out wide, takes up the running at a fast clip and the others will let him go expecting him to tire. But he won’t. He’ll ease off mid-race, then accelerate at the 600m, steal a march and win at around $6.00. Quinella them.

I know he has been sensationally backed overnight, that’s because he just looks well in. This is all about Hugh Bowman and SILVANITO. Has the rails draw, has had one outstanding run under his belt thistle up when 2nd and the small field suits. Is fitter now, has strong finishing g power and just looks better than these. ALAMIRA can battle away for the quinella bet.

The weight scale favours RUBY KISSES here but the track, the wet surface, the trip and the fact TWILIGHT AFFAIR is on a quick back-up points to her simply leading all the way here. sure, Ruby Kisses will make a late charge but if Twilight Affair is left alone mid race I suspect she has too strong a kick late.

Class should prevail here. BROWN THOMAS has won the most races, the most money and is a last start winner. He also receives a 3kg allowance which makes him very well weighted. Looks to sit about 5th to the bend and his grit will get him home late from INUWASHI who is stepping up in class.

I do think if the NSW runner OPTIMO runs ip to his last start he wins this. He does like to get back as he did at Randwick last run, but he can muster late as he did at Randwick. He ran 4th in a highway that day. I suspect this is a little weaker and he flies home over the top of them.
