Wyong R3 – Mdn (3YO+) Hcp 1350m
The market says there are two stand out hopes here and I tend to agree. They are the fav MR WALLACE who has placed twice this grade recently, and the Mark Newnham trained WILD IRISH ROSE. And I like him the most. He has taken a few runs to understand what the game is about but his 3rd last start in this grade at Newcastle suggested to me that the penny may have dropped. Probably sits about 4th to the bend and he should be tough down the running. Certainly quinella them both up.
Tip: WILD IRISH ROSE
Wyong R4 – Magic Millions 3 & 4YO Stakes 1200m
I do think this John O’Shea 3YO HELL I AM might be a stakes horse in the making. Won a trial like a smart one recently and that followed a pair of wins from last campaign. Certain to be handy all the way and if the money comes, get on.
Tip: HELL I AM
Sandown R1 – Mdn Plate (3YO) 1400m
A few hopes here and this may prove to be a fair form race. I like RACKERMANN. He has raced once for an impressive enough 2nd in this grade at The Valley. Should derive a great deal from that. Opinions say the unraced LONFIRE has talent too so watch market but I like experience over unrated here.
Tip: RACKERMANN
Wyong R6 – Magic Millions 2YO Classic 1100m
Tough old race with a number of very talented types. MACH TEN looks top grade after his debut 2nd in the Breeders’ Plate, FIRE LANE beat a very smart one on debut at Newcastle, SOVEREIGN FUND was beaten in a barrier trial but the whisper is he is very smart and SUMMER LOVING ran an astonishing race on debut when 3rd. So who wins? Well, I think given she has the rails draw and probably sits about 3 pairs closer this time that Summer Loving can prevail. Has a powerful finishing burst and is very tough and her debut 3rd in a tough race was outstanding while being very unlucky. Sovereign Fund for 2nd.
Tip: SUMMER LOVING
Sandown R6 – Cl 1 Hcp 1300m
Interesting race. I like the look of this lightly raced Team Snowden galloper ONE REASON. Won maiden last start with a lot of authority. Up a long way in class here but has the 2 gate so should be in the firing line all the way not using too much energy. Is fit and can hit the wire from the top weight EL CORDOBES.
