Rosehill R2 3YO Mdn Hcp 1200m
All the interest will be on the broom horse PEREILLE here and with justification. His 3rd when wide all the wide last start this grade on debut was a terrific run. But 2nd in that race was TRIBECA STAR and he did run past him on his merits. He also was on debut and he seems lost in the hype. Has drawn better than Pereille here and should obtain a great run. Quinella them.

Cranbourne R4 – Maiden Hcp (3YO +) 1600m
Gee I like the look of this bloke CRUX. Peter Moody train him, and he has his old mate Luke Nolen on top. This will be the horse’s 2nd race start. Ran home like a jet late to grab 4th on debut this grade over 1400m coming from last on the bend. extra trip here suits a great deal and they have come from the trees to back him overnight.

Rosehill R4 – BM72 (3YO+) Hcp 1800m
Interesting race. We have a European on debut here, he has won two from two in England though. Gai and Adrian train him and his name is WHITE MARLIN. He has been backed heavily overnight. Chris Waller also presents an unbeaten from two starts rising star in COPPLESON. This is a harder test for him but he looks smart. Then we have the top weight WILLINGA RUFIO. He has raced four times for three wins and looks perfectly placed. Will be on speed all the way and just looks a dead-set Saturday grade galloper. I think he wins comfortably.

Rosehill R5 – BM72 (3YO+females) 1300m
A fair few hopes here with the Chris Waller pair VIVID FLASH and AMATI expected to be right in there but so too ARBITRATION the top weight. She drops in grade here and  is 4th up so should be peaking. Her 3kg claim is a massive help. Should sit back worse than midfield but has finishing power.

Sunshine Coast R8 – BM65 Hcp 1400m
I do think the slight rise in grade and the drop in weight will balance things out for STARZAM here. All his main rivals have drawn off the track which is problematic for them. He steps from 3 and is in form, and very fit. HUSSON’S REVENGE is ready to fire up too. Quinella them.
