Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Wagga meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!
Track: Soft 5
I like this race. I saw PRIDE OF PENRAF win a trial recently I was impressed. His motion, his stride, his acceleration when nudged. He seems to be a ready made juvenile with wheels. I see him parking just off the speed here then when Brodie Loy lets him rip when they turn, he extends away. He is on debut here. BERRY BERRY GOOD isn’t very good but he is handy enough to suggest he can make a race of this. But I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Pride Of Penraf destroys these. Quinella them up.
Tip: PRIDE OF PENRAF
This is a fascinating contest. I suspect the money will come for the top weight GREAVES as he placed in better races when with Team Hawkes and raced in better races when with Chris Waller. He is now with Natalie Jarvis and trialled well for her recently. But, I like the one down in the weights called PITAVAGO. Brendan Ward rides and this mare, although drawn poorly, has the form to win. She also has a new trainer In Marc Chevalier who seems to have her flying at present. Certainly her last start 2nd at Hawkesbury suggests that. Quinella them but io do think this mare at juicy odds can land the cash.
It’s not every day you see a horse drawn gate 19 and resuming from a spell tipper. In fact, you never do, but I will today. I like FOREVER NEWYORK here. All the above is against him as this is a crack field but his trial win recently was stunning. So a little each way isn’t such a bad thing. Perhaps toss in CALESCENT for 2nd and hope for the quinella which if it lobs will pay huge. Good luck.
