Smart front-runner when left alone and likes it damp too. Trouble is he will be taken on by his own stablemate in Sir Lucan. Did win the Gr 1 Sydney Cup over 3200m leading all the way.

Another former Melbourne Cup winner who probably charges early to get across from this horror draw. Is racing well with two game 2nds leading up to this. If he slots in with cover will be a player.

Loves it damp and is back to form. Can run on speed or just behind it. Finished 5th in the Sky High last start over 2000m and is better suited this trip. Place show..

Good stayer who is back to his best. Ran good time as the top weight to win the Canberra Cup recently. Has won up to 2350m and has placed in the St Leger over 2600m. Sure to be in the finish.

Interesting galloper. Has twice won at Gr 1 level over this trip and is now fit and ready to fire up again. Came hard to just miss in the 2000m Canberra Cup. No surprise to see him fly home.

Is ready. Ran them along when 2nd up last week to just fail. Is super fit now. Probably sits in behind stablemate Knight’s Order throughout the run and will loom as they turn. Can win this.

Very interesting because he can run all day and is improving with racing. Still a stallion and hasn’t raced for six months but these Europeans just seem to be able to overcome all that when they front up here. Must be included among the main hopes.

Good tough stayer getting through the grades impressively culminating in a stakes win 2 starts back. Is up in weights here and at WFA surely may have found his level. Place.

Talented stayer on his day. Won two on the trot including the Gr 2 Herbert Power this trip when last in work. Finished last when resuming behind Right You Are over 2100m. At his best he is a major threat but just may be a run short.
