Kensington R2 BM72 (4YO+mares) Hcp 1400m
On best form shown to date the top weight here PICARONES looks thrown in. From this gate she should settle about 4th with the one , one sit then peel out and finish too hard. She’s no champion but is very fit and last start when beaten 2 lengths in a stronger BM78 she was well tried. Will appreciate Hughie being the pilot and dropping in class here.

Eagle Farm R3 – Mdn Hcp (3YO) 1200m
Sometimes horses just stand out. We love those types of races and I see one here in the top weighted ENTERPRISE ATTACK. He is having second race start after a strong 2nd on debut at the Gold Coast when narrowly beaten. Fitter now, drawn to lead if he so chooses and should be a few lengths faster than on debut. Big show.

Kensington R4 – BM72 Hcp (3YO+) 2400m
Mark Newnham trains this former Irish galloper IOWA and under Newnham’s mentorship the horse has found new meaning to his life. Just likes to get out and roll along breaking hearts along the way. He’s bred to run all day and although this is his toughest test I can’t see them getting anywhere near him.

Bendigo R6 – BM70 Hcp (3YO+) 1300m
Seems on paper a good few chances here which should help us gain a great price. With scratching of Merlin’s Charm, who looked the main threat, the race is open and two have been backed to the exclusivity of all others overnight. LA ZUCA and SECRET GLAMOUR. The latter resumes here while La Zuca is racing in good touch and is very fit. Quinella them up, but I like La Zuca to scramble in.

Bendigo R7 – $500k G3 Bendigo Cup 2400m
With this sort of prize money this race should have attracted a bigger and better field. But, because it hasn’t it helped HIGH EMOCEAN. He is in career best form, is 5th up so is very fit and beat a similar field two starts back. Probably drops to the tail early and is weighted to outback these down the running. PORT PHILIP is the young horse on the rise winning his past 4 in restricted grade. Will find this much harder but is a winner.
