There is a considerable boom surrounding this 3YO son of Capitalist named INCENTIVE. He resumes from a spell today. Drawn well and money is circulating. On debut last campaign, that same scenario greeted him. He was sensationally supported at Wagga and after jumping well he darted through to lead. The script looked like unfolding perfectly until the last 100m when the handy Prince Nicconi claimed him. That horse then won again and was placed in town. But connections, hurting by the money they lost on debut, spelled him. In recent weeks, 5 months after his debut, Incentive has won a barrier trial by a huge margin and this 905m scamper suits him a great deal. As does the fact – he is trained here!
Tip: INCENTIVE
Interesting race. I do think the stars have aligned for MY GIRONA. She is relatively lightly raced and after leading all the way to comfortably win her maiden, she tried to do same over 1300m at this level from a very bad gate and wilted the final 100m. Back in trip here, which should suit, she has drawn the rails and should just be too fit and strong for these over the final stages. CHAIRMAN’S CHOICE can bob for 2nd.
Tip: MY GIRONA
The key for SEVENTH SEAL here is get across with cover or be one deep at worst. Because when you are allotted 66kg you need things to go your way. Does get a 3kg claim and is 3rd up so they’re are a pair of things that should help, plus this is his home track. No stranger to carrying big weights and I think, given he loves it wet, that today may be his day. Stable is flying too with a city winner last Saturday.
