Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Sandown | Wed 8th Dec.

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesday’s Sandown Hillside meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: True entire circuit

Bit tough with field of first starters so watch market moves. Expect the Lindsay Park team will have LITTLE KAZ well educated and happy to have something each way on her.

RIPPLING BELLE has been to the jumpouts and has some experience. Drawn to get the perfect run and a definite winning chance.

GOLDEN QUEEN comes to Melbourne off a last start Randwick trial win. Looks ready for the racetrack and Damien Oliver jumps aboard which is a bonus.

Tip: LITTLE KAZ

SAVONIA showed good speed and fought the race out tenaciously when placed at Ballarat on debut. Went straight to paddock after that run and expect she will have matured.

TEMPEST CHARM comes into this ready to find best form third-up from spell. Two provincial placings before coming back to town and she can win this.

NEWLEY WED is a debutant from the Hawkes camp. They don’t usually come to town with a first starter unless they have ability and would be looking for this filly to measure up.

PERCEPTIVE chased steadily when placed at Terang on debut. If she can show natural improvement from the race experience she should be right in the mix.

Tip: SAVONIA

MOKTAFFY is probably the most interesting runner on the program. An import who has joined the Waller stable and he was placed fresh last prep. Watch for stable support.

OCEAN CHIEF is another coming to Australia for the first time. Crosses the Tasman off a Te Rapa placing and although drawn wide would not leave out of chances.

LEGATUS caught the eye with a big finish from the back at Bendigo on debut. If he can sit a bit closer in this he can finish all over the top of these.

ONLY HUMAN was placed at Moe on debut then bit green at Lakeside last start but still not beaten all that far. Barrier only concern.

Tip: MOKTAFFY

FIVEFINGERDISCOUNT raced up on the speed and proved too strong winning on debut. This a step up but in astute stable and happy to have something each way.

ALONG THE RIVER started a short favourite at Kilmore first-up and was strong to the line for tough win. Can go on with it here.

GULF OF ADEN was dominant in maiden company first-up from spell then he rolled along in front at Lakeside last start and only claimed late. Third-up and will take catching.

HURTLE looked like he would benefit from the first-up run when led for long way at Geelong. If he can find the lead he will be competitive.

Tip: FIVEFINGERDISCOUNT

SAVING could not have been more impressive when dominant at The Valley last start. If he produces that sprint from the corner he will win again.

TIGERTIGER chased home Saving at The Valley last start and although brave was well held. Cannot see him turning the tables but he can fill quinella spot again.

BE ALERT loomed to win at Traralgon last start but just found one better in the small field. Drawn to get the ideal run in transit and can sneak a place.

CHESTORIUS won with something in hand at Bendigo last start. He can progress from maiden class and would not leave out of chances.

Tip: SAVING

LARIAT did not have much luck with wide run at The Valley last start but she still ran into minor placing. Drawn perfectly and apprentice claim a bonus.

AMERICAIN ANGEL comes into this ready third-up from spell. Placed in two provincial runs leading into this and would not leave her out of place chances again.

WOLF SKILL showed exciting turn-of-hoof to win at Geelong on debut then hit the line hard when placed at Lakeside last start. Thought she could win but barrier a concern.

KUNA MAGIC looked like she would benefit from her first-up outing when out of placing at The Valley. Another that needs some luck from her wide gate.

Tip: LARIAT

DESIGNS comes into this ready third-up from spell. She has been close up in both runs this time in and from inside gate she gets her chance to win this.

UNIQUE ARTIST looked in need of the run first-up at Lakeside when not beaten all that far. She won second-up last time in work and this not a difficult affair.

TRANSLATOR only just missed when placed at Lakeside last start. Not far off a win and a must for first four players.

BRASADA won at Pakenham three starts back then not been beaten all that far in two city runs since. Needs some luck from barrier but looks nice each way value.

Tip: DESIGNS

SOUTH PARADE comes into this ready third-up from spell. Not beaten far when placed first-up before poor run last start. Looking for him to bounce back in this.

MRS SIPPY is overdue for a win this campaign. Placed in all three runs leading into this and from ideal barrier she will get her chance.

Forget GALACTIC FURY went around at The Valley last start when never on the track and entitled to tire. If he gets better run here he can bounce back.

RELIABLE DUDE resumes. He raced competitively last time in work including a first-up placing. Barrier a concern but definite place chance.

Tip: SOUTH PARADE
