Horse Racing Tips – Friday 29th October

Racing expert, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s meetings and singles out his top three racing tips for the Wagga meetings. Good luck, punters!

Wagga R2  BM74 Stayers Series Heat  3200m

14:00 (AEST)

What an interesting situation we have here. Two rock hard stayers from Victoria who like to get out and roll along, always hoping they are the leader. BARMAH AL, who has to lug 59.5kg around and LATIN BEAT – both last start winners. Hard from a form perspective to see why WILL TO EXCEL is the fav, although his last start 5 lengths win was sublime. But the other pair race in stronger grade normally. I like the Echuca visitor Barmah Al. He doesn’t have to lead and his 4th in the city two runs back in BM 78 company was a strong effort.

Tip: BARMAH AL @ $3.60

Wagga  R4 – BM50 Hcp 1600m

15:10 (AEST)

This guy WISE DRAGON was beaten in the bush last start over 2000m because he didn’t get the trip. Prior to that was a length behind the very smart Kermatin who has won past two. Kermatin would be $1.05 in this. Wise Dragon is super fit and has placed in this grade at 4 of past 6 starts and so deserves a break through. Gets a great help here with a 3kg claim and from this gate sits in 3rd spot on the fence before sprinting too quickly late for them. FACE THE DAY is also in form. I will quinella the pair.

 Tip: WISE DRAGON @ $2.50

Wagga  R5 – Sadlier Stakes 1400m

15:50 (AEST)

I took $2.55 about TAKISSACOD this morning. I think he’s the best bet of the day. He is 3rd up here and is in career best form. Won in a tick over 1.09 when resuming over 1200m which is too good for these and then went to town and placed at Warwick Farm, working home hard late. Super fit, drawn perfectly and weighted to win this comfortably. BANGER is racing OK.  Exacta them.

Tip: TAKISSACOD @ $2.40
