I’m just scratching my head. I’ve gone through the form on this race three times, and I cannot possibly see how FLYING GRACE should be at $3.30. What am I missing? She should be $1.85. This horse just appeals as the best placed horse in the land. Should drive up and allow SHE’LL BE APPLES to cross and then sit on her tail. When they turn she will ease out, whip past the leader, dash two lengths clear and hang tough from OAHU GAZE with She’ll be Apples battling away for 3rd. I’ll be very surprised if it pans out any differently and I’m backing my judgement big time.

Canberra R6 – Federal 1206m
MY BLUE JEANS who likes to get back and roll home hard is on debut here at the ACTON surface. He’s raced well enough at Canberra but hasn’t stepped for on the synthetic track so that’s a bit of concern. But he runs well on wet tracks and that often translates to good effort on the sand. And, last start when he charged home with a big weight to grab 3rd in a very strong BM 66, suggested he was back to his best. This is no better than a BM 66 so I expect him to run very boldly from DIP MY LID who is resuming so should sprint well fresh. Quinella with the other bloke.

Coffs Harbour R7 – Bm58 Hcp 1000m
Fairly even bunch but I always favour horses in form and so I’m on SUPREME DIVA in this. She’s a 6YO and has had only 10 starts but has won three of those, her last start being one of them when she cleared away in better grade. Has a Loy of weight here, offset by an inexperienced apprentice but I think class prevails.
