Nowra R3 Mdn Plate 1000m
With the scratching this morning of the flying unraced Bush warrior, the door swings open now for the beautifully bred unraced SHINY ROCK to shine on debut. He is by Fastnet Rock, is a 2YO, but already has been gelded. He did win a trial very easily then was not asked for much when 3rd last week in a Kembla trial. Drawn to punch forward and be sitting just behind the expected leader HOLLYWOOD GOSSIP who may run a big race at odds. here has been money overnight for LILY ELSIE making this a fascinating little race.

Wyong R4 – Mdn Plate 1350m
The money has come rolling in overnight for VOLTERRA in this and being 3rd up you would have to suspect that’s a crucial sign. Now, has the money come because Voletrra was a game 2nd last start, beating home his main rival LUCKY TO WIN, or has it come because overnight 5 horses were scratched. Can’t say for certain but it has come and I thought he could win based on form and fitness before the cash came. So I think he wins this comfortably. Quinella with the other bloke.

Wyong R5 – Cl 1 & Mdn Plate 2100m
Fairly even bunch but I always favour horses on their home tracks and both OAKFIELD CHEROKEE and DUNLEE are those horses in this. I mapped them to fight this race out. Dunlee should get back but the way he has been finishing his recent sprint races off, suggests to me he is ready to run a blinder. As is the other bloke who should be closer to the speed and is in form too following a really impressive 2nd to a smart one last start. Good contest. Quinella them. But to me, Dunlee is very fit now and ready.
