Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Goulburn this afternoon.
There is a lot to like about a maiden horse on the improve every start and we see that here with AWESOME CHOICE. She is a 3YO filly by Choisir and has raced ed just 5 times to date, but on each occasion she has improved. Two starts back was runner-up at Newcastle over 1250m making good ground from 7th at the bend then last start up to 1400m, was narrowly beaten in Nowra. So today’s race may even represent a drop in class. ELEGANT CARRIAGE has raced well this class also and can place.

Goulburn R3 – BM66 Hcp 1000m
This will be a good race and holds a fair bit of appeal too. Plenty of speed in the race and there has been a great deal of money wagered on NO IMPEDIMENT here who resumes. Did win impressively just prior to spell. But I like SHADOW COLOUR to have too much dash. Apprentice Zac Wadick, who has yet to ride a winner in a race, has won on this bloke in a barrier trial and the pair combined well for 3rd last start in slightly easier race here after leading with a big weight. Can lead again and I will quinella the pair.

Goulburn R6 – BM66 Hcp 1200m
I do think he is a bit in and out but today looks to me like a day OUR FINVARRA will be on. His last start 4th at Canberra was a good effort coming home hard to what was a stronger race. Has won at this trip and will get back so is suited to the long straight here. ART OF EXCELLENCE won first-up and is in form. I will Quinella them.
